The nascent sun had just started to spread its soft orange aura, painting the dark night sky skillfully, the birds had just began their day's quest, and the crickets had just fallen asleep, and it was then that Satyakirth had finally left Raimoti's bed. The dark night had passed, and so was the danger that loomed on her life, and as he finally let her close her eyes into a slumber, he planted a soft kiss and stood up to leave.
"Sleep well, Princess!" He had smiled at her, gathering his dried clothes, before he left for his room quietly, the intoxicating taste of her lips still lingering in his mouth.
When you work for the benefit of all humanity, appreciated or not by your contemporaries or community, the good universe colludes to raise you up and bring opportunities, opportunities to be blessed with love, exactly as you deserve. The evil force will do the opposite. When you learn how to make each curse a blessing, to learn from pain and be led through your sense of love and integrity, then you win great things for all. And, thats the way of the true hero.
Satyakirth was lying in his bed, inside the closed door, opposite to the room where his princess lay. His eyes were closed, thinking about the night that he had spent with her in his arms. He could still sense the warm caressing of her breath on his bare skin, he could still feel the touch of her fingers in his chest, circling around his nipples, the taste of her lips still fresh in his mind.
Satya sighed.
This was exactly how he had felt that night, after his mystery princess had left, after he had cradled her back to the safety of the shore, as she had disappeared into the darkness beyond.
Her absence had created an immediate void in his heart, in his mind, and for a long time, Satya had battled with that emptiness, fighting with his sense of duty and responsibility and waging hopeless wars with his heart.
Never in his life he had, for once, thought about his own happiness, his needs, his desires, likes and dislikes... It had always been his motherland first, then his fellow warriors, and then his grandmother. He himself was never on that list.
As a child, a prince, and only heir to the throne, he was sent abroad to study, to know the ways of the British with whom his fight was destined. And, it was only after the tragic death of Deshbandhu CR that he had returned to his country and joined the medical college, preparing himself for the menacing battle ahead. He had been his teachers favourite, the brightest of the lot, an aspiring Sushruta, but after four years, post his final examination, when Bhagat Singh dropped bomb in the central legislative Assembly to protest against the Public Safety Bill, Satya dropped his college too, on the final convocation day, to protest against the arrest, turning into an outlaw and never receiving his formal medical degree.Love was a luxury to him, and he was well aware of it, but at that moment, lying in that bed, with his eyes close, all he could think of was Raimoti... her aesthetic face, her large teary eyes, her quivering lips.
"Ufff... Lord!" Satya had exhaled sharply, crutching his head in his hands, as he tried his best to calm his heart and let his mind take over.
The plan had failed that night, and he needed a new one... And there was no way he was to reach his goal without Raimoti's help...
Again Raimoti...
Satya groaned.
.......
The morning sun was at its peak, pouring its soft February brightness on the entire city, waking them up with jolts of energy.
The outside was bursting with life, barring the RayBahadur Palace, where everyone was still lost in a deep slumber.
Satya had washed up, eaten a couple of bananas and was clothed fashionably to embrace the new day. He had stood infront of the mirror, probably for the first time in his life, admiring the soft red nail scratch on his neck. His eyes were smiling.
He needed to get Raimoti's consent and the code, and for that he was prepared to do his best, give his best.
