"Stop Bondita.... I said stop..."
"Whyy?? Aren't children meant to run on picnics?"
"Yaa... But enough now... Please Shona... Listen to me... Stop..."
"Make me stop... Barrister... Barrister babu... Make me..."
Anirudh ran, his feet kissing the land, chasing his dear wife with a heartful of innocent happiness. Perhaps a little while ago he would have balked at the idea of running so far and fast, but now he relished the prospect. He loved the chase, he loved the idea of her outsmarting him... Those feet were made to travel at speed and as light as the paws of a tigress, he thought. Breathing steady, heart strong - this girl was born to run...
"What happened Barrister Babu... Tired already?"
Bondita had turned around, and was now running backward, as if inviting him to catch her, her hands stretched and a smirk on her lips, and suddenly the entire equation of this feel-good chase changed into a challenge not so innocent.
The beckoning of her eyes had ignited a subdued demand to conquer, and for once, Anirudh didn't think twice to shed his inhibitions, accepting her challenge open-heartedly."If... If I catch you... You've no idea what... What I'll do to you..."
Anirudh was running... Faster than he did before, and the simple game of chasing became a dangerous affirmation of conquering and possessing each other. The distance reduced, and the laughter grew louder, with shrill shrieks and growling chortles, and as Bondita reached the soft clayey river bank, Anirudh caught hold of the lose end of her saree, pulling her towards him. But Bondita refused to give in, shouting out in glee she pulled her saree and turned to run, but Anirudh had caught hold of her arm by then. Bondita jumped, splashing some moist clay, and Anirudh too, jumped in accordance... But, just once, as his hunting boots gave away, making him slip on the clay, falling on the ground, and on his chest fell Bondita...
"Auchh..." Bondita gasped, and she felt Anirudh's lips colliding with her nose.
A little lower, and it could have been the lips! The fall was abrupt, as was the rawness of the emotions. Bondita's hands were pressed on Anirudh's chest, and her hair was caressing his face, their eyes locked, heart pounding. The reminisce of the broad smile was still on their lips, but fading slowly, as the dominance of a more serious expression slowly took over their eyes. Anirudh heard Bondita gasp, licking her lower lip subtly, her eyes on his lips now, expectantly, and with every passing second he felt his soul burning in that brewing fire of her gaze. His hands were pressed on her slender waist.
Anirudh gulped, his eyes toggling between her large gleaming eyes and red quivering lips, and the movement on his throat drew Bondita's eyes, fixating her orbs on his Adams apple.
"Bon... " Anirudh gulped, sensing the loud pounding of his own heartbeat, and Bondita heard it too.
"Are... Are you... Hurt?"
His words were almost a hush, as he felt her eyes shifting on his face again.
Bondita was breathing rapidly, and her warm breath caressed his neck, and like a possessed soul, he felt her hand grabbing his wrist, and she made him touch her heart, a little above her alluring softness."Bondita...!!" Anirudh gasped, and Bondita lowered her face a little, in dangerous attempts of bridging the gap between their lips.
"It hurts... " She gulped nervously, "here..."
