(Y/n)'s POV
I sneak into Snape's classroom, careful not to let anyone see me. Draco follows behind me, quietly shutting the door behind him. I glance around the room, looking for something to do. Draco walks right up to the shelves in the back of the room.
"Tergeo."
He says, pointing his wand towards the jars of ingredients. I watch as the labels on the jars vanish.
"Bloody hell Draco! That's genius! Now no one will know what they're using."
I laugh.
"Exactly."
The blonde boy nods.
"Now it's your turn, what are you going to do?"
He asks, looking at me. I pause, thinking for a moment.
"I've got it!"
I exclaim, jumping up. Draco laughs softly,
"Well, go on then."
I start to lift my wand, but begin to hear footsteps coming closer to the door. Draco and I look back at each other, eyes wide.
"Hide!"
Draco hisses, ducking under a desk near me. I clamber under it with him, freezing as the door opens. The person strolls in and stays for what only seems like a moment, before they walk out, closing the door behind them.
I release a sigh of relief, before realizing that I'm currently hovering over Draco, who is lying flat on his back. I scramble off of him and crawl out from under the desk, mumbling,
"Sorry."
Draco coughs, nodding.
"Uhm, well I think we should get going now."
I say, heading for the door. I try to open it, but it doesn't budge.
I point my wand towards it,
"Alohomora."
I try again, but it still doesn't move.
"Dammit."
I mutter, growing frustrated. Draco comes over,
"What's wrong?"
He asks.
"Whoever came in here locked the door, and I can't get it to unlock."
I say, glaring at it.
"Let me try."
Draco says, stepping in front of me. He attempts to unlock the door about ten times before eventually giving up. I sit down on the floor, and Draco joins me.
"Looks like we're stuck in here until someone unlocks the door."
Draco grumbles.
"Great."
I mumble in a bored tone.
We sit in silence for a while, until I stand up and walk over to the blackboard. I grab a piece of chalk and begin doodling on the board.
"What are you drawing?"
Draco asks, still on the floor. I shrug,
"I don't know yet. I'm just occupying myself."
"How about we play a game?"
He asks, standing up. I turn around to face him.
"What game?"
He shrugs, coming closer.
"Oh! I know, let's play Pictionary."
I suggest. Draco gives me a puzzled look.
"You don't know what Pictionary is?"
I ask, in slight shock.
"No. What is it?"
He asks.
"It's a muggle game where you draw a picture of something and the other person has to guess what it is."
I explain, as I erase the blackboard.
"Okay. You first."
Draco says, sitting down at a desk. I ponder what to draw for a moment, what's something that would stump him? Anything from the muggle world I assume. A megaphone? A baseball? Let's go with a baseball. I begin with drawing a circle that looks incredibly lopsided, and add curved lines on each side. I confidently turn around and place the chalk down.
"What is it?"
I ask Draco, who's staring at it with confusion.
"Uh, is it a quaffle?"
He asks, still staring at it. I shake my head no, smirking smugly.
"Um, a ball?"
"Be more specific."
Draco gives me an annoyed look.
"Is it some muggle thing?"
"It's a baseball, so yes."
I answer, nodding.
"That's not fair. I don't know about most muggle associated things."
He objects.
"It's called strategy."
I roll my eyes, handing him the chalk.
"Your turn."
I take his seat as he accepts the chalk and walks to the board. After erasing my baseball, Draco begins to draw what at first looks like another ball, but ends up looking more like a head. He adds a long beard-looking thing to it, then what I assume are glasses and eyes? I'm puzzled by what I'm looking at for a moment until Draco adds a hat.
"Dumbledore! It's Dumbledore!"
I exclaim, standing up. Draco nods, sighing.
"Yup."We continue to come up with things to occupy ourselves, until finally we begin to grow tired.
"I think I'm gonna try to go to sleep Draco."
I say, yawning.
"Alright."
He nods, reading through a potions book he found on a desk. I point my wand under a desk, making pillows and blankets appear. I arrange them to create a makeshift bed, and crawl under the desk. As I make myself comfortable, Draco begins to create his own 'bed'. My eyelids start drooping and I quickly fall asleep.I wake up to the sound of someone yelling, and abruptly sit up. I glance over at Draco, who's laying down, thrashing around, and crying out.
"Stop! Please no!"
I crawl over to him, slightly frightened. He must be having a nightmare. I grab him by the shoulders, sitting him up and shaking him.
"Draco! Wake up!"
His eyes shoot open with a look of terror and he immediately crumbles into tears. I pull him into a hug, unsure of what to say. He tucks his head into the crook of my neck, whimpering. This is not the Draco Malfoy I know. He's too vulnerable.
I adjust myself, sitting beside him, and leaning up against the wall. I bring my arm around his waist as his head continues to rest on my shoulder. I start to rub his back in an attempt to calm him down and eventually he falls asleep. I rest my head on his and close my eyes, joining Draco in his slumber.
