Y/n's POV

"Class, today we will have a quiz on a number of the potions we have studied this past month. The papers are in front of each of you."

Snape addresses the class, gesturing towards the paper with a list of potions on them placed onto our desks.

"You will write down what the effects of each potion are. You may begin."

The sound of students pulling out quills and writing on paper fills the classroom.

Draco begins writing the effects of the potions on his paper, starting with Doxycide.
I look down at my own sheet, picking up my quill and filling in what I remember.

Erumpant potion? Oh god, what did this one do again?

I stare at my paper feeling clueless. Glancing over at Draco's paper, I see that he wrote: an explosive potion when touched by an outside source.

Perfect.

I write my own version of his answer in the blank spot, but before I continue, a certain pair of words stand out to me. On Draco's paper, under Drink of Despair: It hurts when the taker consumes it.

It hurts.

My mind races, thinking of why it looks so familiar.

The letter. That's the handwriting on the letter!

Worry begins to fill my mind as I try to think of reasons Draco would send me that message.

Okay, well maybe you're overthinking this. It might not have been him. Maybe someone was pranking you. I think I'll still check though.

___________

"Hey y/n. How are you doing today?"

I turn around to see Luna Lovegood, walking towards me at my desolate spot at the Hufflepuff table. I muster up a fake smile as she sits beside me.
I don't have anything against Luna, she
Seems sweet. It's just that I don't know how to answer her question.
I shrug my shoulders instead.

"Eh, okay I guess."

I lie, watching her reaction closely. She doesn't seem convinced, but doesn't push it.

"How about you?"

I turn the attention to her, starting to feel slightly uncomfortable.

"I'm okay. I haven't had anything bad happen today, but nothing exciting either."

"Ah."

I nod in understanding, before returning my attention to the potatoes and ham on my plate.
My fork pokes at the ham mindlessly as my mind starts wondering about the letter.

I turn to Luna, about to question as to why she wanted to sit with me, when I notice that she's gone. The seat as if she wasn't even there.
I glance around the room, wondering if I'm losing it.
Luna is at the Gryffindor table with the golden trio: Hermoine Granger, Ron Weasley, and Harry Potter.
I turn to notice Draco isn't in his seat, or even the room.

Draco's POV

I quickly get up and exit the Great Hall before someone notices two Lunas. I start to feel the effects of the poly juice potion wearing off.
I know it was risky, but I had to know how she's is doing. She didn't seem to be completely honest with me- er- Luna.

She'll be fine. She's strong. It's not like I could have effected her that much... right?
