Y/n's POV
It's been two weeks since Draco left Hogwarts. Cedric has been busy with quidditch- which Draco had to quit due to all the detention. Laura and Kaylen seem to be closer now. I'm happy for Laura. She seems like she's doing better. I haven't been able to speak with her besides hello in the hallway, but her demeanor around Kaylen seems uplifted in a way.
As the school day ends, I head up to the west tower and into the Owlery. I arrive hoping I to receive a letter from my parents. I quickly find it, opening it up immediately.
Dear y/n,
How are you doing? We miss you and can't wait until summer. How have your classes been? How are Laura and Cedric? Tell them we said hello. We love you very much and we're so incredibly proud of you.
Love you,
Mum and DadI recognize the handwriting to be my mother's instantly. Dad probably had nothing to do with this letter being sent. Mum is the only one who bothers to write nowadays. Dad is simply far to busy with his work at the ministry to write to his only child. I fold the letter back up and shove it into my robe pocket.
Right as I start to walk away, I notice another letter addressed to me.
I inspect it carefully. It doesn't say who it's from on the envelope. Curious as to who sent me a letter, I open it. I stare at the piece of paper in my hands, confused. It simply writes:It hurts. Help
The word directly after 'help' is blotted out by what looks like spilled ink.
I flip the paper over to see a faint engraving of the words on the paper.Help me? Who is this from?
I look around to see if the owl that delivered it is still around. After seeing no other owls, I inspect the letter for a name- anything.
After finding nothing, I fold it up, and put it back into the envelope.

I rush into potions class, late as usual.
Luckily, Snape hasn't arrived either. I walk over to my desk, freezing as I spot a familiar blonde head. Draco sits at our desk, hands in his lap, eyes downcast. He doesn't seem all that well.
I sit next to him, immediately bringing an arm around his shoulders and pulling him into a side hug."Hey, how was your little vacation?"
I ask quietly. He looks up at me in a slightly surprised manner.
"Uh, well it was ok."
He mumbles, Pulling away from me.
Really? After being gone for over two weeks, that's it?
I try to brush it off and pay attention to the lesson.
When potions ends, Draco rushes out without waiting on me.
Something is definitely wrong, I didn't do anything though. Is because I didn't write to him? No, we agreed before he left that we wouldn't write to each other. It's too risky with his parents.
So.... What's different?I snap out of my thoughts as I enter the next classroom. Draco is standing next to Blaise with a solemn expression. Instead of standing with him, I remain where I am throughout class.
When lunch comes around, I sit by myself once again. I try to fight the urge to look for Draco as I eat, but I cave anyways. I look over my shoulder and make eye contact with Draco briefly. He quickly looks down, acting as if nothing happened. Anger begins to build up inside of me.
Fine. Two can play that game.
