chapter 3

"Arthur! You okay?" Marie asks walking into the room. Arthur was in a chair with a bloody face.
"John wipe the blood out of his eye"
Ada instructs wringing out a cloth.
"Since when did u give orders" John teases.
"Im a trained nurse"
Marie let out a laugh.
"Dont make me laugh its hurts me face" Arthur groans.
"You went to one first aid class and got thrown out for giggling" John says
"Not before i stopped someone from choking"
"Im not bloody choking."
Arthur groans.
"You will be when i wrap this cloth round your neck" Ada says.

Just then tommy stomps in.
"Let me see him" He says and hands his a bottle of whiskey.
I walk out before i see anything else. As i do i hear hisses from Arthur.
"Hey Marie" Finn says.
"Alright Finn?" (Finn is 13)
"Is arthur alright?" he asks
"Yeah. He should be. Dont worry. Okay?" Marie reassures him.
"Its not me im worried about. Its you"
"finn. Im fine. Arthurs fine. Everyones fine. Dont worry about me alright. Now come on. Lets go get a drink" She says and they walk down to the garrison.

"Marie, how are ya lass" Harry greets her and Finn. "Im good harry. The usual please" She says.
"Of course"

"Alright Isaiah?" He nods.
They all head in the snug ant talk for hours until they head home.

"Tom? You okay?" Marie asks walking into his room after hearing his scream. "Marie. What are you doing up. Go back to sleep" He grunts looking up at her.
"I couldnt sleep" she shrugs and sits down next to him as he sits up.
He rubs his eyes. "Are you okay Tommy" she asks rubbing his back.
He nods. "Yeah. Just a nightmare" he says. "I get it" She says. "What do you mean?" Tom asks now fully awake. "When u were away at war. I used to get nightmares about you" She states
"What kind of nightmares?" Tom asks worry in his eyes.
"You know.." she couldnt finished as she started crying.
"Hey, hey, hey. Its alright love. Dont cry. Im here now." tommy cooes pulling her to his side and gently rocking her.
"Im here now. We are all here now. And we're alright. Eh? Its alright" He kisses the top of her head and rests his head on hers.
That night they both fell asleep in eacovers arms.

The next day Marie is walking towards the Garrison when she sees Danny whizbang having another episode. Hes panting and looking around frantically. "Danny?" she walks towards him and tries to control him. "Hey, your alright danny. Its okay" As soon as shes says this a man walks out with a knife telling him to go home.

"Its alright i've got it sorted" Marie tells him helping Danny up. The man ignores her. "Hey! Im trying to help you. I'll sort it. You go find Tommy Shelby" "Dont tell me what to do girl" he snaps.Just then Danny spots the knife and freaks out and stabs him. "Oh my god!"

Danny runs off scared. "Hey, its alright im gonna help you okay" Maire reassures the man. "Why are you helping me?" he asks as he grunts in pain. "Because i want to" she staes and pulls the knife out of his chest. "Thankyou miss.." "Shelby. Mariana shelby" she finishes. he looks scared. "Oh my god im so sorry for wasting your time miss shelby" He panics. "Its fine dont worry, your not wasting anyones time. Now, go get that medically treated" she says standing up. "Thankyou Miss Shelby, i owe you my life" "send the bill to the peaky blinders" she says and smiles before walking off.

"Alright Marie" John asks. "Marie" Tommy calls. "Get in here". Marie follows tommys voice. "Why did i get sent a bill earlier today?" he questions setting his hands on the desk and leaning foward slightly. "Danny whizbang had an epiosde today, stabbed a man" she answers.

A/N: half term! Which means alot of peaky blinders. im trying to write so many chapters while balancing other things. Tommorrow, spending they day with my girlfriend for valentinesssss
