THE TYRANT, ALSO KNOWN WITH THE CODENAME MR.X, (model T-00) had been ordered to eliminate any remaining civilians and police officers left in Raccoon City Police Department. Also to retrieve the G-virus sample, but the sample seemed lost. Now three pests remained in what was Leon, Claire and Seraphina surviving.

With its frightening intelligence, Mr.X now only desired one thing. It was to kill the three survivors, including the orphan Claire was with. The terrifying B.O.W was burnt halfway, reddish burn marks on its skin. Fire continued to ignite, leaving behind black scorched marks.

The monster's grey skin was exposed, revealing all its muscle fragments and the heavy weight. It was inhumanly impossible to even be that large and dense, yet there was a haunting hint of human-like features.

Swinging it's deadly fist towards Leon, Leon backed away but was still caught by the force. Knocking him over onto the ground, the impact was so rough it made Leon cough rapidly as he dragged his body back.

A blue canister landed by the tyrant's feet, clanking noisily as it went off in a brightening white light. The flash and deafening sound blinded the monster for a brief moment.

"Shoot him!" Seraphina yelled. Now she was down to one canister. Each moment was crucial, miss her shot and she would be wasting it.

With shaky hands, he reloaded his shotgun and aimed for the head. Going off in loud bangs, the tyrant's head fell back but only seemed to soak up the bullets like a sponge. Pushing back was enough, letting Leon limp away.

He held onto his waist, pain threatening to swallow him up. The tyrant definitely had a brain—it was going for Leon first because he had more ammo and weapons on hand. If Leon dies, then so does Seraphina. She had nothing compared to him.

"Keep spotting for me," Leon said to her and glanced past the lift. Still not down yet. "I'll hold him off."

"Five minutes until detonation."

Five minutes.

Can the train make it out within that time?

Seraphina nodded assuringly to him. She doesn't know if five minutes is enough time, but she'd rather not find out. The tyrant rose back to its tall silhouette and onto its feet again, letting out a beastly roar.

"Not good," Leon muttered under his breath as he put some distance between her. "Get ready!"

Looking back up from where the lift came from, the building crumbled in what appeared to be slow motion. The pressure and weight of everything was shaking the floor intensely, adding to their unbalance.

Shrieking, Seraphina narrowly missed from being smashed by a heavy piece of rubble. The pieces of concrete grazed her already scarred legs, blood dripping down.

A liability. That's what she was.

I have to help. I can't stop now.

Dragging its toned arm onto the lift in a screeching halt, the tyrant smashed the rubble into pieces. That must have weighed tons, but it tore it apart like the concrete was foam. The display of strength was so utterly despairing—yet Seraphina continued to move away.
