Chapter Fifteen: Of Course I'll Go With You
Colby and I were eating our lunch. While waiting for the boys. Doing who knows what.
"Homecoming is next week, and Mason still hasn't asked you?" Colby asked while eating her Chickfila fry.
But making sure she remains looking at me like I'm some experiment that went wrong.
I sometimes wonder why we're even best friends in the first place. Well, let's take a trip down memory lane real quick.

"Ugh! Peyton slow down!!" My mom shouted after me.
But she was too late. I love ballet and she knows that I do. That's why we get here early.
So I can be the first dancer here. I know that I'm eight years old, but I want to be a ballerina when I grow up one day.
My mom finally catches up with me. And holds the door opened for me. Then once we walked in, I was shocked at what I saw.
A blonde haired girl like me is sitting on the bench outside of the ballet room.
"Excuse me. But nobody gets here before I do." I said while glaring at the girl and crossing my arms across my chest.
The girl looked confused. Then she looked at her mother and her mother just gave my mom a smile.
My glare was still remaining on the girl in front of me. Then, she stood up and held out her hand.
"My name is Colby. I just moved here from New York City. Once I saw this ballet studio I had to go. I'm sorry I wasn't sure that this was yours." She said with a frown.
This made me stop glaring at her, and focusing on her hand.
I then grabbed it, then started to shake her hand.
"I'm Peyton." I said with a smile.
My mom was giving me a wink while going back to talking to Colby's mother.

And that is how we became best friends.
I had a quick moment of silence, when I thought about my mom. Oh can't she see how much I miss her?
"No not yet, I'm not even sure if he is going to ask me." I said while eating my chicken tenders.
I mean, your boyfriend can still take you to homecoming without asking you right?
That's not really on my mind at the moment, I want Sean to hurry the hell up to ask Colby.
They like each other. But they're just too scared to admit that they have a thing for one another and some people are really eager for them to date.
"He will ask you. Besides, you guys are going to win homecoming king and queen anyways." She said while taking a sip of her large soda.
This made me sigh. I dipped my french fry in the ketchup then took a huge bite from it.
We probably won't win. Honestly, I don't like getting nominated for things like this.
I just wanted a night full of fun. With the people that I love.
Mason and Sean came up to us. While Mason sat down next to me, and Sean sat down next to Colby.
We were all looking at some freshman getting asked to homecoming. Awh, that's so cute.
I leaned my head against Mason's shoulder and let out a sigh. Mason then kissed the top of my head.
"What's up babe?" He asked while looking at me and rubbing my back. I looked over at Sean and Colby.
They are too busy having their own conversation to even notice my distress.
