Chapter Thirty: You're My Life Saver
It's been a total of six days and four hours since Mason tried to commit suicide.
I drove up to the black electronic security gate, and then some Asian guy in a cop suit had a clipboard in his hand and walked towards my car window. But first had to cross in front of my car to get to me.
This made me quickly grab my driver's license and some paper that Mason's mom gave me and said that I needed to bring it with me. Because it has Mason's signature on it, agreeing that I am allowed to see him.
Although I couldn't see him before, because yesterday his psychiatrist came and visited him. Then a couple of days before that, only his family could pay a visit.
"Who are you to the person?" He asked while raising an eyebrow at me. This made me sigh.
I then handed him my driver's license and that signed paper. Which he took forcefully.
Well then, I took a sip from my drink that was from Sonic. While the mean security cop was looking at his stupid clipboard.
He then handed me back my items and walked in front of my car and then got in his little office box thing that looks like a phone booth.
Once the gates opened, I drove straight forward. And avoiding his wave. He doesn't deserve a wave back. I don't care if I sound mean, but he was such a jerk.
I then pulled into an open parking spot, and then shut my engine off. And looked up at the tan building. Then unbuckled my seatbelt.
"Bakerstreet Mental Facility." I said letting out a scoff and grabbed our drink carrier and our bag with our delicious Sonic food.
Once I locked my car, I walked inside the facility and walked up to some lady in the front desk.
She gave me a smile. Hm, some people at least show kindness in this place of people.
"Who are you here to see?" She asked me while making my name tag.
I smiled back at her. She even asked me so nicely. Like seriously, why couldn't she be the security guard. It would've made things easier.
I tucked the bag of food under my armpit and then put the drink carrier down on the counter.
"Mason Davis. I'm his girlfriend Peyton Marshall." I said smiling to myself mostly.
"Oh, you're Peyton. Yeah here is your name tag. Mason talked about you a lot. And he's been really eager to see you." She said flashing me a cheeky grin.
Okay, she's getting a bit too friendly now. So I just gave her a slight nod then put my name tag on Mason's black Nike hoodie.
Then I grabbed the drink carrier and then walked through some small gated fence.
I then walked up to some woman in a doctors coat. She gave me a simple nod.
"Who you looking for?" She asked in a Southern accent.
I let out a sigh. Then I had a tight grip on the bag.
"Mason Davis." I said calmly. Trying to hide my anxious look.
"Room 07." She said while walking away.
Alrighty, let's get this show on the road. And get this over with.
I then walked down a hallway and looked at all the room numbers. Then I found room 07.
I stopped in front of it and took a deep breath and opened the door slowly. I saw Mason going on his laptop.
"Hey babe." I said walking in and closing the door behind me.
He looked up at me and smiled while standing up then he started to walk towards me.
I put the bag and drinks down and then he pulled me into his arms.
"I miss holding you." He said letting out a whimper. Then pulling away and looking at me.
"I know, just three more days and you're out free." I said with a wink. He just chuckled then kissed me.
I kissed him back, and it started to get heated and intense. So I pulled away from him panting.
"You got me food?" He asked while smirking.
"Of course, I can't let my boyfriend live with mental hospital food." I said while smiling at him.
He kissed my cheek, then grabbed the bag and took out a hot dog while he handed me my chicken fingers.
We then sat down on his temporary hospital looking bed, come to think of it, this looks like a normal hospital room except that there are bars on the window. Which feels like a prison.
"You're my life saver." He said with his mouth full and grinning at me.
"That's a mouth full." I chuckled.
"You bet." He laughed.

"Tell me more." I said while coming back into the room after walking into the hallway and throwing our garbage away.
"Okay, Ethan is bullying me because Auburn wants me. And I chose Auburn over LSU and Ethan thinks I did it to make him jealous." He said while folding his hands.
"What? That's stupid. You did it because your father wanted you to go there." I said while sitting on the wooden chair.
"And for us." He stated.
"Yeah, wait, will Auburn know that you got sent to BakerSteert?" I asked rather curiously.
"Nope, my dad said that coach told him that Auburn won't know a thing. And he'll make sure of it." He said with his signature smirk.
"That's good Mason. Really good. Now why did you try to commit suicide?" I asked while crossing my arms over my chest and raising an eyebrow.
"Ah we have to go there?" He sighed while standing up from his bed.
"Yes Mason, this is serious. I almost lost you. And I can't deal with the fact of losing you." I breathed while closing my eyes.
"I'm here babe, I'll always be here okay? Just think of that." He said while holding my hands.
"I will. But seriously, why would you want to kill yourself?" I asked while looking into his eyes.
"It's because of what someone said to me. It just made me lose control of myself." He said with a sigh.
"Who? Was it Ethan? Cole? Who was it Mason that made you believe that your life is not worth living for anymore hmm!?" I asked clearly pissed.
"My father." He breathed.
