Chapter Twenty Three: Perfect New Years

"Hey beautiful." Mason said while hugging me from behind.

"Hey handsome." I said while leaning against his chest with my back.

"We have exactly three hours until Colby's New Year Party." He whispered into my ear while biting my earlobe and kissing it.

Colby is finally having a party. All of the senior class will be there. Colby got all of their texts. Who knew she was really popular? Eh it's probably because she's rich.

"Any New Year resolutions?" I asked while getting out of his arms, and then opened my fridge.

"I already have my beautiful girl. What more can I ask for?" He asked while shooting me a wink.

I blushed, while handing him a coke can then grabbing a bag of some frozen french fries and putting a couple on the plate.

"Cassidy!? No Cassidy come on! I love you too much. We'll be on the beach and enjoy it. Just please don't let that ruin our night. Our New Year? Okay, I'll pick you up in thirty minutes. Love you too. Bye." Ryan said while walking in the kitchen.

"Girlfriend problems?" Mason asked while looking at him.

Ryan nodded and sat down next to Mason while placing his phone down in front of him.

"Cassidy assumes that I have a thing for a new girl. But I don't even know who the hell the chick is." He said with a sigh.

Then the microwave oven beeped, and I took out the french fries and then grabbed a small dipping bowl and poured some honey mustard in it. While handing putting it in between Mason and I.

A perk about us, is that we both like honey mustard. Me and Mason. We always get that instead of ketchup when we go out.

"I'm sure Cassidy is just scared that you might think this new girl is prettier and better than her." I said while dipping a fry into the honey mustard and taking a bite from it.

"Nobody is prettier than Cassidy. Shit, I don't think you are. So why would I think another girl is?" Ryan asked exasperated.

"Sheesh thanks bro." I said sarcastically while letting out an eye roll.

Ryan chuckled while looking at his phone and then standing up while grabbing his Georgia University lanyard that has his car keys attached to it from the hook that my dad put his car keys on. And me sometimes.

"I gotta go pick Cassidy up. Thanks for the advice sis." He said while smiling at me then walking out of the kitchen.

"I think that you're the prettiest girl in the world." Mason said while eating a french fry and smirking at me.

"You're my boyfriend, you have to say that." I said while crossing my arms and shooting him a smirk.

"Daw you know me too well babe, that's what I love about you." He said while placing a hand over his heart.

I just let out a laugh while eating a couple of more French fries.

"So glad that you guys came here early." Colby said with a sigh of relief while handing me a box of glass coke bottles.

"I mean, you texted me saying that Mason and I should get our asses here immediately." I said with a chuckle while holding the box.

"And I'm thankful. Now put that in the small cooler that's sitting on the table inside. Mason, go help Sean out in the back." She said with a nod then walked away to who knows where.
