Chapter Thirty-Five: That's Clearly Adorable

I gave out a sigh of relief. It's been a long day at work. But thankfully, before I left, I got to pick up my paycheck. And I'm happy because now I can do some online shopping this week.

But right now, I just want to go home and take a nice hot bubble bath.

{~Mason's POV~}

I'm really really nervous. I mean I know that we went to prom together last year. But this year is completely different. It's our senior prom. And I really hope that she doesn't think this a corny way to ask her.

I mean I wouldn't blame her. Because last year I had one of those big stuffed heart bears that held a big heart that said "Prom?" Instead of the typical "I Love You."

"Okay you ready bro? Peyton just pulled in the driveway." Ryan said while popping his head in Peyton's bedroom which I'm currently in.

"Yeah, I'm ready." I said while taking a deep breath.

Once I heard her greet Ryan down the hall. My heart began to race. I wonder if she's ever like this whenever she talks to me. Because I'm always like this whenever I see her.

I turned off the light in her room. To where only the candles can make you see what's happening.

"Oh my gosh!" I heard her gasp.

She's in her Target uniform and her hair is in a messy ponytail. And she looks worn out from a long day at work I presume. But she's beautiful everyday of the year. So I'm not complaining.

"Peyton Marshall. Will you go to senior prom with me?" I asked while smiling at her and held out a bracelet that spells out "Prom" on it. It's just to add a touch on this romantic promposal.

"Y-Yes!!! Yes!" She squealed while crying.

By instinct, I held my arms out opened for her to run into them which she did without hesitation.

"A beautiful bracelet for a beautiful girlfriend." I whispered into her ear while I showed her the bracelet that I bought.

Ryan then took a picture of us next to Peyton's bed which spells out "Prom" with red rose petals. I had my arm around her waist while she's leaning against my chest.

After Ryan took pictures off both of our phones, he left us alone. Peyton turned on the light. Then Peyton helped me blow out the candles.

"You're the best boyfriend ever." She said once the candles have been blown out.

"And you're the most beautiful girlfriend ever." I said while kissing her tear stained cheek.

"Hey tomorrow is school. It's time to go home Mason." Callum, Peyton's dad said while standing at her door.

"Yes sir." I said to him. Then turned to my beauty and wrapped my arms around her waist. "Goodnight lovely. I'll see you tomorrow." I said then kissed her on the lips.

"Text me when you make it home safely okay?" She asked me once we pulled away from each other.

"Of course." I said.

I gave her a peck on the lips then put the candles in a bag while grabbing my car keys and phone and then walking out of her bedroom with these things.

Then I walked out of the house and I got inside my car. And I put the items on the passenger's seat.

Peyton Marshall. You'll make our senior prom be one of the best nights of my life. The other night will of course be our wedding night.

{~Peyton's POV~}

"That's clearly adorable." Colby sighed while looking at Mason's promposal picture on Instagram.

I videochatted her after I got a text from Mason saying that he's home and about to go to sleep. Men.

I then posted it on Instagram saying "My Hot Date to Senior Prom."

"Yeah I know. Why do I deserve such a perfect boy?" I asked exasperated over my MacBook Pro.

"You guys are perfect. What are you talking about?" She asked while eating a sushi roll after she dipped it in the soy sauce with her chopsticks.

"We aren't perfect. We have fights here and there. But we definitely aren't perfect." I sighed while looking at Jack Rogers shoes on my phone.

"Come on, you guys just have lover's spat that's all it is." She said with her mouth full.

"Lover's spat? My dad used to tell me that he and my mom always had that when they were dating back in high school." I said while giving Colby a small frown thinking about my mother back in her high school years.

"Your parents dated back in high school?" She asked clearly interested in the whole love story.

"Yeah, my mom was a dancer while my dad was a football player." I said with a confirmation nod.

"Awwh that's so cute! Wait kinda like you and Mason now!!" She squealed with excitement.

"Yeah but I'm not a dancer." I chuckled.

"So!? Anyways did your parents go to the same college like you and Mason are going to do?" She asked while eating another sushi.

"No, my mom got pregnant with me the summer after they graduated." I said while crossing my legs.

"Oh well that's cool! So your dad graduated eighteen years ago then! That's so long ago." She laughed while clearly impressed.

"Pretty much." I laughed. Thinking about my dad eighteen years ago.

"I can't believe Sean asked me to prom during a football game." She said with her cheeks tinted pink.

"That was clearly adorable." I said copying some of her words from earlier.

"Shutup." She said while getting red and awkwardly coughing.

"Hey I'll see you tomorrow. I think I might go to sleep." I yawned while stretching my arms.

"Same here, night girl." She said while waving bye to me.

"Night girl." I said while waving back at her.

I shut off my MacBook Pro and then put it on my desk then I turned off the light and got in my covers.

I then started to dream about me and Mason's wedding day. I really hope that senior prom will be the best dance that Mason and I have ever been to.

I don't know what I would've done if Mason actually succeeded in killing himself. I don't know where I would be. I'll be in therapy for a pretty long time if you ask me. I'm just glad that I still have him.

Forever.

Hehe, I hope that you enjoyed Mason's POV! On how he asked Peyton to senior prom.

I decided to add Mason's POV just this once in this chapter. I felt like it was right.
