11:00 a.m - After the eventful morning hours, Jace and Rebecca found themselves on the beach.

Nothing was said between them, just the feeling of sand between their toes, the sun beating gently on them and the sounds of laughter coming from the children.

"What are you thinking about?" The young man asked her, seeing as she had stopped, looking out at the sea with a sad look in her eyes.

The brunette shrugged lightly, crossing her arms around her chest. "Everything."

Jace understood. They had both said that they loved each other, they both knew that there were going to be challenges but they were going to try their best.

"When Alexander was born, I was super excited," Jace began. Rebecca smiled widely at the thought of the young boy that she had grown to love.

The two sat down in the sand, Jace laying his head in Rebecca's lap. She kissed his forehead and smiled down at him affectionately.

Jace's father had pulled him out of class to see the birth of his younger brother.

"Are you nervous buddy?" Henderson asked his son. Jace shook his head, excited to see his little brother.

When they arrived at the hospital... Jace's life changed.

"I decided that I wanted to hold my mom's hand. So while she was pushing, I was holding her hand and whispering stuff like Evan told me." Jace told the girl, a proud smile on his face remembering the day.

As he talked, she ran her fingers through his hair softly, his body becoming relaxed.

"What did you think?" She asked him, smiling just a little.

He chuckled, covering his face with his hands. "When he came out, I told my mom that when I get married, I wanted ten babies."

The brunette then bursted into a loud and contagious fit of giggles that caused Jace to smile widely and join her.

11:20 a.m - After laughing for twenty minutes, an older couple smiled at them.

"You remind me of us when we were younger." A man in his early sixties said, a warm smile on his face.

"Goofy and in love." His wife said, laughing a little. The two young people blushed and chuckled a little. Jace looked up at Rebecca and smiled, hoping that they would be just as in love now as they were when they were in their sixties.

"She's pretty amazing." Jace said to Rebecca, his affection clear in his tone. The brunette blushed, smiling at him with such love in her eyes. The older couple smiled at the two, bidding them a farewell.

Just as Jace was about to say something, the familiar voice of his best friend was heard. Finn James, blonde hair, blue eyes, straight and clean features were the things that made the girls fall for him, thinking that he was a god in different type of ways.

"Jace!" The blonde shouted, causing Rebecca to look over at him and try and figure out why Jace had become so tense as soon as he heard the calling of his name.

Getting up quickly, Jace turned to face his ex-best friend. Finn looked almost relieved that he had turned to actually gotten up but before the young man could say anything, Jace punched him in the face.

Rebecca shocked, got up and grabbed Jace's arm before he could do anything else. "Jace, stop."

"This fucker slept with Diana! As my fucking best friend, he slept with the girl that I wanted to marry! Knowing that I wanted to propose to her." Jace exclaimed in the brunette's face, causing her to cringe.

"Man, I'm so sorry that we did that. The first time, we had both gotten drunk at a party. But then...we got...attached." Finn said, wiping his mouth that was dripping blood.

Finn then took the time to look at the brunette that was standing with Jace. she was gorgeous and if they weren't in this situation, he would try and get to know her.

"How long was this going on?" Jace asked, looking at the guy who had been his best friend for so many years. The one that encouraged him to propose, the one that he went to for everything. When his mom left, when he had to make the decision on what college he wanted to go to.

"For about a year." Finn whispered. Jace was in shock.

A year? An entire fucking year, his girlfriend would call him, tell him that she loved him, that she couldn't wait to see him again had been fucking his best friend for a year. He was angry and frustrated that he didn't even notice the signs.

The only thing that Jace had noticed is that when he came to visit, Finn hadn't talked about Miranda, the baby and he didn't compliment any of the girls that walked by them like he usually did, just being nice, is what he had always said. But he had honestly thought his mind was on his girlfriend.

"So how's Miranda?" Jace asked, a smirk on his face. The blonde young man knew that he couldn't tell his best friend that it was his girlfriend that had been consuming his thoughts lately. Even though he had a girlfriend and one that was also friends with Diana, he had always loved the blonde haired cheerleader.

"She's good. We're good." He had told Jace. His best friend smiled, happy that he had found someone that he could love and care for like he did Diana.

11:45 a.m - He couldn't stand being by the man that fucked up his relationship, leaving Rebecca and Finn by themselves.

"So you're the girl that Diana told me about," Finn began saying.

Rebecca nodded, not looking at him.

"He still loves her you know?" The blonde said, smirking as he saw the brunette tense just a little. "He always will. She was his first girlfriend, his first love, his everything. He was ready to have a future with her. H-,"

Rebecca interrupted him. "The girlfriend that you screwed over and over. The girlfriend that you knew he wanted to have a future with, I'm not the one wrong here."

find didn't expect that. When he had talked to Diana, she had told him that she was only strong when she was in front of Jace. Obviously it was a lie. She was strong. She had a backbone and didn't need witnesses.

"Listen, you don't know anything. I love Diana and she loves me. She just wants to get back on Jace's good side again before we continue anything." he said to her, venom laced with his tone.

What Diana wanted was to have her cake and eat it too. They both did. They 'wanted' a future with different people that they claimed they loved but also wanted to screw each other.

Rebecca was in shock and extremely disgusted. He had a girlfriend and a baby on the way. All he cared about was continuing to sleep with Diana. He didn't care who got hurt in the process.

"You can continue whatever you want with her. She and 8 aren't getting back together." Jace said from behind him. Turning around, Finn was faced with not only his ex-best friend but his now ex-girlfriend that was due to have their son anytime soon.

12:00 p.m - The two young people found themselves at the park that seemed to have started all the thoughts. Children running around, squealing with joy.

"Let's have four kids. Two boys and two girls." Diana had said as they walked to her house after a date one time.

Jace smiled at his girlfriend of over four years now and nodded. "Whatever you want babe."

The green-grey eyed young man looked at Rebecca and smiled as she watched the children.

He didn't need Diana to have a future. He could totally see a future with the brunette that didn't ask for much.

She would probably have kids, but only if Jace wanted them because she wanted to see HIM happy.

And that's what Jace knew that he needed. someone who was humble. Wrapping his arm around the brunette, he pressed his lips to her temple and whispered an 'I love you'.
