!Trigger Warning! Angst, blood, gore, and mention of near death.
This is it. This is the end, isn't it? Blood keeps dripping to the forest floor beneath her. She could feel hundreds of drops like a crimson rain of death; wet, thick, and sticky as they dripped down her arms. Yes, this is it, this is the end. Maybe by her death, she can finally return home?
No, she can survive this; she knew she can. She's still standing, isn't she? that counts for something right? Right. So now what? She can't move; her legs shaking beneath her weight. God, she was too tired, too weak; she thought she could handle it. She can't...She can't take this any longer. Live or die, her body needed to just choose one already. She can't take this much anymore. 'Please choose live. I don't want to die. I'm sure we can make it out of here, please choose to live.' she prayed; god she prayed to whomever above could hear her.
Her gaze was heavily staring ahead; the movements blurring in and out as she fought to stay conscious. She could just make out the shape of a large black blur ahead of her. Hear the distant roaring and screeching of that monster. Gilgamesh didn't tell her it was such a nasty creature. She'd swear she'll haunt Gilgamesh for all of eternity if her body dares fail her tonight. Her sword lay forgotten somewhere under fallen leaves and no other weapon she carried would ever dare scratch that beast as it lumbered towards her with the thirst for her blood and her flesh. She can't take this much longer. Her entire body screamed; telling her to lie down and sleep, that if the beast was fated to tear into her flesh and eat her alive then she'd rather be unconscious for that part of her story's ending chapter. But she must resist, she must fight. If she sleeps now she'll surely die. But she can't take this much longer; her body won't allow it even if her mind screams for her to push forward. To go find her sword and finish what she started. God only knew what became of Geralt. She lost sight of him when he went over the forest cliff. But the night was so cool and the wind caressed her heated flesh to cool it down; pulling her further into an unconscious slumber. The blood on her skin and her clothes were thick and heavy as it soaked through; drying with every breeze that blew by. 'I'll just.. I'll just lie down for a little while. Save my energy, I'll make it out of this mess soon enough.' she thought deliriously to herself as she staggered back from the lumbering beast in front of her until her back hit the rough bark of a tree behind her.
'It'll be over soon. There's no saving me anymore, I'm too broken, I can't even move my body to lift a sword. If I'm going to die I just wish I wasn't alone. Maybe.. maybe somebody will still find me, there's still anything left of me to find after this monster is through. Yes, please find me, I don't want to die alone.' her body slid down the length of the tree; the rough bark scraping her already bruised and swollen spine as she crumbled to the ground with a pained sound that caught in her throat.
She closed her eyes, letting the world slip away from her. Hoping she'd sleep before those teeth begin to tear into her flesh. Being eaten alive wasn't a way she thought she'd go out but she hoped she'd be unconscious for that part. She wished Cirilla would be okay. Would she realize when Geralt and her didn't come back for her that something happened? She better takes good care of Killua for her or so help her Olivia will haunt that girl for the rest of her life too. It was getting hard to breathe; shallow and squeaky the air left her lungs as if her lungs had punctured holes in them. Oh wait, it did. How'd she come to this again? She couldn't remember. But God please let it be over! She felt him more than she heard him. His presence was powerful and burning like the sun; filled with a sense of rage that forced her tired lids to flutter open. Despite her vision already dimming she saw just the outline of a blurred white-haired figure moving with a fury. Silver-colored swords, two of them. Gleaming in the moonlight as they swung through the air. Cutting and slicing at the large shape in front of her. He was so close. She could feel his warmth. How close of a call was it that he managed to come to save her right before her doomsday? He couldn't save her though...but at least he could avenge her. That's all Olivia asked of him.
