"So, you've finally decided to come back again?" you asked, a tinge of mockery lacing your voice. "I never seen you as the returning type. Usually, when you run off, you never come back, similar to an untrained dog; though, they usually die on their own-"

"And what a shame you didn't?" Hisoka finished, unbothered by your words. "Is that what you were going to say, darling? Hurts my feelings you would wish something so terrible on me." He said, feigning sadness, standing expectantly, waiting for you to cut the act and let him in.

You held tightly to the bottom of your shirt, fighting away the frown, but he knew had gotten to you, like always.

Standing your ground, you fixed your posture, reminding yourself you wouldn't fall for it again. "I heard the Zoldyck mansion is comfortable, I'm sure you can stay there until you disappear again." Your hands were shaking, fear flowed through your aura- Hisoka sensed it.

A sympathetic look crossed his face, "You know I don't mean to hurt you, right? What I do is for you, to keep you safe." Moments pass as the words sink in, and you realize he is right. "Come on, without me you'd be dead, you know this."

Of course he was right, you reminded yourself. Hisoka is always right about everything- why would he lie to you? "How am I supposed to believe you?"

An irritated smile formed, one you could not tell from the others. "Have I ever lied to you before?"

Without missing a beat, you replied, "Yes, many times."

"I did that to protect you, whatever lies I told you were to keep you out of harms way. I lie out of love, darling."

He thought about forcing himself inside, not giving you the choice to leave or kick him out. You are his, after all. Every piece of you, every breath you take, belongs to him.

But, by the look on your face, Hisoka knew he had you. "Let me in, we can talk about this more later," He started, entering your house as you moved to the side. "Until then, why don't we catch up, hm?"
