Chapter Thirteen: My Girls

Skylar's POV (Skylar's homecoming suit^^^^)

I lay on my phone with lil ma on my chest down for her nap, I look to see that Layla texted me asking why I didn't say hi but I ignore her

I don't wanna be in anymore relationship drama and honestly I don't have time for Asher's mouth, I hear a knock on the door and I look to like ma before quietly saying come in

"Hey Sky...oh, awwwww who's the cutie" Laura says, I see my father walk in as well and I smile as I run my hands through Maya's hair

"This is Maya, my friend Shawn's daughter...my god daughter actually" I say proudly as I look at her

"Aww well speaking of Shawn, he called so that you could drop her off now" My father says, I just nod and sit up as I cradle Maya's head and slowly get up

I put her down and get her toys off the floor and put them in her bag before slinging it on my back and picking the sleeping 2 year old up

"Ok well I'll be back soon, I gotta drop her off in Crenshaw and I'll be back soon after ok" I say to them, Laura and my dad nod in approval and I smile and walk out and to the car

I put Lil ma in her seat and buckle her in before getting g in myself and texting Donavon and Patience that I'm heading over there

The drive to Crenshaw was relaxing a bit but nerve racking, I don't wanna see Coach and with Shawn telling me he's been lurking around trying to see me has me on edge especially since he knows who I'm friends with

I arrive at Shawn's house and get out, I get Maya's things and get her seat before closing my door

"Hello Sky" I hear a deep voice say, I let out a shaky breath before turning around to see Coach standing there looking at me

"What do you want" I say in a monotone voice as I tighten the grip on Maya's car seat

"I just wanted to see you......I miss you" He says and I scoff

"You don't miss me, you miss lying to me and why would I wanna see you after what you did to me" I say angrily, I feel a call come through my phone and I answer it but don't look at the contact

"What I did was a mistake....I lost my temper but you know to speak to me with respect" Coach says as he starts to get loud again

"And you know better than to hurt me" I say, he glares at me but soon his face changes when Shawn's door swings open to reveal him and his friends behind him

"Yo fool I told ya ass to bounce....you harassing my family and I don't take too kindly to that" Shawn says, Coach shakes his head and walks away

I let out a breath and look at Shawna n's he's friends who pat my back and head in while Shawn stays outside and takes Maya and her things

"Thanks man I appreciate it.....tell me if he contacts you, I'll have my people deal with him" He says, I look down at my phone to see the call hung up

"Thanks man" I say as I look back up to Shawn, we hug and I kiss Maya's forehead before heading off and waving to Shawn as I go out of view

Next day
I lay on Patience bed as she tells me all about Tyrone and her worries for Coop, I listen as I throw one of her stuffed basketballs in the air mindlessly

"What do I do Sky" She says and I sigh and catch the ball one last time before looking at her, she's genuinely worried and so let me get my mind right and not be an ass

"Let me tell it to you straight because I won't lie to you.....you knew what you were getting into when you dated her, especially since she was just starting out with Shawn and while I love him like a brother......he's under Tyrone's thumb still and he's trying to get out which isn't easy.......just think about how much your willing to handle when it comes to her" I say and she looks at me and nods quietly

I pull her close and just sigh along with her

"Everything gon work itself out P, I got you no matter what....as long as your happy" I say sadly, I look down at her to see her already looking at me

"Would you go to the homecoming dance with me" I ask hesitantly, Patience looks at me shocked but soon i turns into a face I know too well

I stand awkwardly to the side as I adjust my horribly tied tie and look at everyone around me, I go on my phone and text Shawn to see how he and Maya are doing and if Coach is around

"Aww Sweetie....come here your tie is messed up" I hear in front of me, I look to see Ms.James coming toward me with Laura

I smile and she undoes my tie and starts it from scratch

"You know....I wish someone taught you how to do this" She says and I half smile and glance to my father who's looking away awkwardly

"I wish I did too" I say softly, she smiles and flattens my suit jacket before kissing my cheek and walking towards my father, I turn toward the door to see Spencer and Coop looking at me weirdly but I shrug them off and go to text Patience it soon turn my phone off

"Ok everyone let's take this photo" My father says, I stand next to my siblings awkwardly and I see my father shift in place as he looks at us before snapping the photo with Asher and Layla coming in late

I quickly move out of the way and out the door after the pictures were done, I get into my car and head down there

I pull up along with everyone else and I get out he car and take a deep breath as I look at the school, I check if I have everything before going to walk into the school but soon I feel someone grab my arm

"Wait for me speed" I hear before me causing me to smile as I turn around and see her in all her beauty

"I'm glad you came Patience" I say smiling ear to ear

God......I'm falling again

A/n I updated and I hope y'all like it, there's a bit of filler Ik but it's only because this is the beginning of Spencer and Layla getting together but I'm hoping tog eat back into things soon so bear with me please
