I smile as I take Patience hand and lead her into the school but soon we're stopped by Coop and Spencer causing me to roll my eyes
"Yo Patience what are you doing here with her" Coop says upset
"Yea and why are you messin with my friends girl" Spencer says and I look at him while Patience looks at Coop
"She didn't wanna go alone Coop and we're here as friends, is that allowed" Patience says and it stings to hear that but at the same time I asked for us to go as friends and I mean that
"Yea we here as friends just like y'all so chill" I say irritatedly
"It's not the same ight, y'all dated and clearly you crossin boundaries if you asked her and ain't ask Coop for permission" Spencer says as he steps to me
"You gon have to step back, she can do whatever she want and still respect her relationship and I can do the same....Coop don't own her and neither do I, come on P" I say as I put my hand on Patience back and lead us into the dance
We walk in and we both look in awe as the lights and music around us fill our eyes and ears
"Wow.....we don't get nothin like this back home" Patience says
"You got that right but while this is amazing to look at....let's dance P" I say with a smile as I take her hand and walk us to the dance floor
We start dancing and as we do I see Spencer and Coop walk in with cold looks on their faces, I look over at the rest of the team and see Jordan and Olivia giving me weird looks and Asher glaring at me
"Hey....stop looking at everyone else and have fun....don't let drama kill the mood" Patience says as she turns my head so I'm facing her, I smile and nod before dancing with her again
She right, let's enjoy the night
We dance for a while and I look over to see my father looking my way and I look away from him and back to Patience, like she said, no drama is gonna kill the mood

I walk the halls looking for Layla, I saw her run out after a fight with Asher and Spencer so I wanted to check on her
I continue walking when suddenly I'm stopped by my father, I sigh and look at him as he looks at me with a smile
"Yes....Uncle" I say causing him to sigh
"I see you stole one of my suits for the dance....fits you perfectly" He says and I look down guilty
"Mom didn't go anywhere formal and Donavon is a lot bigger than me...I had no choice" I say softly
"It's ok....it's nice to see you in it and that your enjoying yourself...who's the girl" He asks with a shit eating grin and I laugh a little and look away before looking back at him
"Patience....and before you ask she's not my girlfriend....anymore that is" I say sadly
"Well luckily I'm here to give you some fatherly advise if you need it" He says and I go silent for a moment, I haven't forgiven him for years of neglect and absence....I'm not ready for moments like this
"I don't know if I'm ready for this Daddy daughter moments" I say and he goes to speak but I shake my head and walk away as he tries to pull me back, I walk out and to one of the chairs on the side of the dance floor since Patience is dancing with Coop
Spencer's POV
I walk back into the dance area on a mission as I look for Jordan and Olivia, I look around till I spot Jordan with his girl
