Chapter Thirty-Three: Making up?

Skylar's POV

I sigh as I walk into the park area near the benches, I see Alicia sitting there with her leg nervously bouncing up and down as she picks at her nails that look like they was just done

"I'm here....what do you what" I ask as I stand in my spot and fold my arms together, Alicia looks up and immediately jumps and tries to hug me but I stop her with my hand

"Back yo ass up....do what we here for" I say and Alicia sighs before nodding and sitting back down

"I....I'm not from Beverly Hills.....I'm technically from Crenshaw" She starts and I scoffs and look away

"Why lie...it's not like I was finna judge you" I say and she runs her hands over her pressed out hair anxiously

"I didn't tell you because I don't like sayin I'm from there, and when you told me you was from South Hampton then I felt comfortable but...when you mentioned Shawn...I only ever heard of him and I didn't want you think I was out there with him doin what he was doing...especially since you mentioned how you don't like it..and it would come off as weird given how we met" Alicia explains and I sighs

"So you just knew of him....nothing regarding him or who he knew" I ask and Alicia nods

"I'm so for real...I don't know anyone he knows....I didn't get down like that and we moved to Beverly Hills soon after i got into 8th grade" She says and I just nod

"You ain't have to keep that shit from me....but I understand a little bit...why you did" I say as I uncross my arms and sit down next to her

"Just don't do all that shit again.....you still not seein Maya but...we good" I say and Alicia smiles sadly before pulling me into a kiss

"I missed your lips....wanna make up for lost time" She says and I smirk before pulling her into a kiss, we start making out and it starts to get pretty heated

"Come to the back of my car...I can't wait any longer-

Just as Alicia says that, my phone cuts hers off causing me to pull away from her neck and look at the time

"Shit! I Uh..gotta get to the combine...I'll see you later, Maya has the night with her grandmother so....wanna come over" I say and Alicia smiles before pulling me into a passionate kiss

"Go do what you do best....I'll be over after so just text me" She says and I smile before texting JJ back as I walk off

"I'll see you later" I say as I run off to the Jeep that Laura let me drive as I wave to Alicia, I quickly get in and put my seatbelt in before speeding off to the school

"Thank god I put my bag in the back" I say to myself before parking and pulling up to the school, I run in and grab my jersey before signing my name

As I do I hear something that makes my ears perk up a bit

"I gotta land a scholarship this weekend and commit" I hear Spencer say, I turn around to see him and Layla talking

"What happen to keeping your options open" Layla asks

"My mom happened..I can't have her throw away her dreams because of me" Spencer says and I nod and make a mental note

I go to see to JJ but I see him and Jordan coming over to me

"Hey Sky...what's up man...ready to get to the field" JJ says as he daps me up and I do the same completely ignoring Jordan

"Yea...ready to show those scouts what I can do" I say and he smiles at me and wraps his arm around my shoulders

"Well you got this....I believe in you Sky Sky" He says and I roll my eyes at the nickname, he's came up with that corny shit with Maya

I only allow it because of them and only they can call me that

"Yea...thanks Jared James" I say and he rolls his eyes now causing me to laugh as we walk up to Spencer and Layla

"Time to get it in boys and girl" JJ says as he daps up Spencer, Spencer and I look at each other briefly before I break eye contact and look at Layla

"Hey valley girl" I say as I hug Layla who chuckles and hugs me back

"You literally just said hi to me a few minutes ago" She says with a laugh as we pull away from the hug

"Hey let's show these college recruits what Beverly boys...and girl are made of" JJ says confidently and I agree

"That's right" Jordan says

"I like the spirit....can't wait to see you ball...especially you" Coach King says as he walks over past us a bit then points to me

"Oh and Spencer....I took your advice you gave me" Coach King says causing me to frown

"About what" Spencer asks

"About Crenshaw....sure y'all won't mind a bit of competition" Coach King says nodding behinds us before walking away, I turn around to see Crenshaw players coming from around the corner

I clench my jaw as I look from them to Spencer

"Great....now we're definitely going to get hit harder" I say before looking back to see Donavon and Sampson walking in as well as some of my other old teammates

"You've gotta be kidding me...South Hampton too" JJ says and I groan in frustration as I can see Sampson's smug face from across the hall while Donavon looks annoyed

"Fuck my life" I say before walking off to the locker room

This shit finna be a bloodbath

I do my push ups next to Spencer and some other guys to warm up, I look up and see Sampson talking to some of the guys from my old school before glancing at me

"Hey Skylar....looking good over there....you look really....manly" He yells out tauntingly, the guys around him laugh as I just shake my head and get up making no move to walk up to him

Donavon bumps Sampson causing his little ass to fall off the bench and his friends laugh as Sampson's face goes bright red

"Ignore him.....ima make sure he doesn't say shit about your dad" Donavon says as he pats my back a bit

"I ain't worried about that....Jordan already knows...I'm more worried about kicking this guys ass and getting that scholarship" I say and Donavon smirks

"I'm right behind you on that" He says causing me to smile

Todays the day to get mines

A/n welp lol, the combine is today and let me just say.....I wish I played sports in school lol, might have to fuck around and go to college to experience shit
