Chapter 20

Winter has ended and the season has changed to spring. We open up this chapter, not at the mansion or in Axel, but out in the beautiful fields surrounding the town of beginnings. Things are peaceful, a few goats basking in the sun and the occasional Giant Toad jumping around here and there. All is well, but, this is Konosuba so that means things can never go well for long. A giant explosion rises up in the distance and I doubt I even need to say who caused it. And if you really do need me to tell you, I'm disappointed.

We now shift our attention to the guild. It's currently the middle of the night and adventurers are gossiping. 

Adventurer: Did you hear? Starting next year, there won't be any more tuna.

Adventurer2: Some crazy mage screwed up the entire landscape.

In a corner of the guild, the usual party of idiots were seated with their heads down, and a certain albino even seemed livid.

Adventurer: I always look forward to tuna season...

Y/n: 0 points.

Megumin: What!? Come on, today's Explosion magic was worth at least 120 points!

Y/n: Negative 10 points.

Megumin: Wha-!?

Y/n: The more I hear you complain, the more points I take. How much of an idiot are you? You just let off an explosion cause you thought a monster was gonna take the tuna. How stupid are you? Were you dropped on your head as a child? You shitty brat! Learn an actual useful advanced magic!

Darkness: Y/n, that's going a little far.

Y/n: Kazuma.

Kazuma: You reek of fish.

Ah, Y/n treating his best friend as an attack dog that he sent after the filthy masochist. I mean, of course, Darkness took joy in this comment.

Kazuma: As soon as we got on the water, they were gnawing on you!

Aqua: Hey, are we in debt again now? What are we gonna do!? I don't wanna work part-time anymore!

Y/n only looked at the goddess clutching onto him with disgust.

Y/n: Pain in the ass arch priest. 

His attention moved to Megumin who was looking at her adventurer card with an unhealthy blush.

Y/n: Useless one-shot arch wizard.

Now his judgmental gaze moved onto Darkness.

Y/n: And I don't even know where to begin with that one. There's just too much wrong with her. 

Kazuma and Y/n were able to overhear some nearby female adventurers talk about how Kazuma is only good at stealing panties and Y/n is just a monstrous alcoholic. Those comments stung a little. Not enough to hurt, but just enough to feel.

Y/n: Tsk. If this was Fire Emblem I'd already have my S-rank! Where is it!? Where is she!?

As that thought enters his head, the doors to the guild are slammed open by Yunyun, drawing the whole guilds attention. She boldly walked her way to the party of incompetents table and stopped right in front of Y/n.

Y/n: Yunyun... What's this about, you're usually more timid then this.

He was looking at her with clear suspicion which made her falter for a moment, but she quickly recovered.

Yunyun: Y-Y/n-san...

Y/n: Uh-huh?

Yunyun: I... I... I want to have your baby!
