PROMISE

"Do you like it, baby love ?"

Taehyung turned hearing Jungkook's voice who was standing behind him with his bunny smile.

Taehyung couldn't for any word. What can he say ? Never he had expected a surprise like this from Jungkook. Hell, he didn't even expect him to remember his birthday when he himself forget about it.

This days are going in a blur. He is getting to experience the things he have never expected of. First him family and now Jungkook. Everyone is changing making it feel like it is not real.

It is hard to believe that Jungkook, the same true blood who rejected him at the second sight and didn't even care about his existence for 5 years, is suddenly the one who takes care of his every little thing. Does it seem real ?

Jungkook is a whole new person now. He almost can't recognise him. Every time he sees Jungkook trying hard to make him happy, his wounded heart feels at peace. He wants to believe him, wants to believe his words but a feeling of fear overpowers him making him step back.

Why does Jungkook calls him with such endearing names ? Why is he trying to make him happy  ? Why is he doing all the things which he was supposed to do with his soo  ? He had many questions, answer to which is still unknown.

"What are all these, Jungkook ?"   Taehyung asked as the question is seriously giving him headache.

Jungkook smiled and went Near him and said "Happy Birthday baby love. I did all this for you. Do you like it ?"  he looked at him hopefully.

"Yeah its beautiful"  Taehyung said honestly for the first time and got an instant bunny smile in return.

"I am so happy that like it, love. Actually i prepared a gift for you too but at the last moment, i came to know that it's not prepared. It will take another month. I hope you can wait till then"

"There is no need of gift Jungkook. You already did so much and i don't why did you even bother doing it"

"What are you saying Tae ? It's your birthday. Of course i am supposed you make you special. Your big gift can wait but for now i prepared a very small gift you"

With that, Jungkook flashed his hand into his pocket and took out a small velvety box. He gave it to Taehyung who took it after Jungkook urged him.

Taehyung opened it to see a beautiful chains and a promise ring as a pendent on it. The ring was simple yet pretty. He looked up and sighed.

"What is this ?"

"A promise ring, love. I have a promise to make you"

"Why are you giving me this ring  ? I don't need any promises from you because at the end you will break it. So, what's the point ? " Taehyung rolled his eyes.

Jungkook smiled and took the pendent don't Taehyung's hand and went to his back to make him wear it "This is a promise ring. I wanted to make you wear it on your finger i guess you will not comfortable in it so i made it as a pendent"

Taehyung sneered at that. He couldn't understand Jungkook. Here, there relationship is not even real, and Jungkook gave him a promise ring.

"Promise ring for what ? You are promising me that you will hurt me, break my hope or what. I seriously don't understand you. What the hell are trying to do  ?"

Jungkook didn't let his smile falter even though Taehyung's words pierced through his heart. He felt his heart bleeding due to the pain. Not because Tae insulted him, but because he was thinking of the times when he insulted Taehyung the same. He must be feeling pain too. He smiled through his pain.
