The mates kept hugging each other for a few moments without realising that every left them alone as the time stopped for them.

After a while, Tae pulled away from the hug. Jungkook smiled at him. It was the first time in a long period he felt this much happy.

"Let's go home" Tae said.

Jungkook who was smiling till now stopped. He sighed "I can't go back right now"

"W-why" Tae couldn't understand why the alpha said that. Everything was okay now. They cleared up everything.

The alpha held his shoulder "I know you forgave me but I still can't forgive myself for hurting you all those years. You spent this one year feeling guilty about misunderstanding me and I spent it while thinking about my mistakes. Now that our misunderstandings are cleared, before we start anything, I think we both need time"

Tae looked down understanding his words. But he didn't wanted to be away from the alpha. He realised it was too hurtful for him. V and JK suffer the most. He looked up hearing the alpha's next words, resonating his worries.

"I know you are thinking about V and Jk but don't worry, I won't take much time. Just give me and yourself 2 months more to really think about our relationship without feeling guilty or sadness. Let's start everything from the beginning. What do you say, Tae ? But if you still want me to go back now, I will respect your decision"

The omega was in deep thought. It's true that their relationship was never normal. It started out of one sided love from his side, then breaking of trust leading to pretentious partnership for the sake of Daehyeon, jungkook then realising his mistakes and regretting, his attempts and lastly misunderstanding.

They never had a mutual feeling for each other. It was always while one loved, the other had no idea of it. They couldn't respect and trust each other as mates. Maintaining a relationship doesn't take a lot to maintain if there is proper communication. These 2 months will give them time to think of the other as their mates, rather than only their pup's other parent.

Tae nodded "I agree with you. I also believe we need this time. Sometimes we really need to take it slow so that we won't regret our actions anymore like we both did in the past. Let's learn to forgive ourselves and truly forgive the other before we can trust the other.

"I am sorry for everything. You suffered way more than I did. I gave you much more pain" The alpha truly regrets his mistakes.

Tae nodded "I will try to slowly forgive you from the bottom of my heart. We can't measure pain like in a weighing machine to determine who is hurt more. We both honestly repent for our past actions, that's what matters. I will try my best to trust you again.

'And I will make you believe for the rest of our life that how much you mean to me. It will be not be easy but let's trust and not keep secrets from each other" Jungkook said making the omega wholeheartedly nod his head.

The omega furrowed his brows with the thought of something "W-what about Soohyun"

Jungkook sighed holding his hand "I found Soohyun in the forest a year ago. She was kidnapped by the vampires too. The pup thinks I am his father so I had no choice but to take care of her. Can we please take care of her until she grows up. I am sure we can slowly tell her that I am not her father. Can she stay with us til then. After knowing the truth, if she wants to leave the pack, then will take care of safety outside the pack" Tae smiled and placed his palm above Jungkook's hand reassuring that he is okay with that.

The couple then came out of the house to see everyone waiting for them outside. They all smiled seeing the mates standing close to each other. Seeing their face, they could tell that the problem between them has been resolved.
