REGRET

Jungkook woke up with sunshine falling on his face. He let out a whine because of the headache. He held his head and hissed as he felt pain. He somehow opened his eyes and sat down. He looked around in haze to remember everything about last night. He saw how his hands were still clutching the hoodie as if someone will take it. He sighed and bought it near his nose to get his favourite scent.

After a few minutes he folded the cloth and kept it below his pillow. He got down and freshened up. After wearing a black T-shirt and joggers, he went downstairs. He was still scared to face Taehyung after yesterday's talk but he can't hide now.

It was Sunday so he had no rush to go to the office. He saw Taehyung was cooking with Daehyeon as usual latching to his mother. He smiled looking at them. How much he wants to the only one to see this scene everyday morning ? His family all happy because of him. But as soon as the thought of how much he hurt Taehyung to the point that a kind soul like him doesn't care about his death, his smile faded away. He can't even complain even though he is hurting because he know that he deserves it. He shaked off this thoughts. He doesn't have the right to get hurt when his punishment has not even started. He will do anything to make Taehyung forget his pain and happy a again, even if he needs to die.....

Taehyung looked up when he heard the footsteps. He saw Jungkook walking like a mannequin, face blank and vision on the ground. He ignored the feeling of worry that was somehow trying to bubble inside his heart, and put Daehyeon down. The pup whined but stopped when he saw his appa. Taehyung served the plate and sat down beside his pup.

Appa !!!

Jungkook came out of thinking shell upon hearing the voice of their pup. He looked up and saw the shining doe eyes of their pup. He smiled and went near him. He took him in his arms and sighed in content. He could smell Taehyung's faint scent from him. Tae looked at him and furrowed his brows seeing Jungkook like this. He was looking different. What was going on with him ?

Yesterday, when Jungkook said that he was sorry and crying for his life, he was bewildered. Taehyung didn't know what to feel. The one who gave him pain for 5 years and didn't even looked at him was literally begging for his forgiveness yesterday. It was all like a dream. Otherwise why would a strong trueblood alpha like him would hold the leg of a lowlife omega and say him sorry ? He was nowhere the Jungkook that he knew. The Jungkook he always knew was cold, rude, arrogant and didn't care about anything specially not about his mate by mistake, but the Jungkook yesterday was a fragile, hurt and guilty man. He was like a baby who was searching for comfort. Who doesn't want him to leave ? Why ? Didn't he once said that Taehyung was a burden and he doesn't want anything to do with him ? They are just still staying together for Daehyeon. Then what happened suddenly ? Why he didn't try to keep his cool and was begging ? Did he suddenly realize all the things in the past ? Did he realize what he did to him ? But what's the point of it now ? At first, Taehyung thought Jungkook was playing with him again. He is maybe trying to make fun of him. Once he forgives him, he would again hurt him. Yes, that must be the case otherwise why would Jungkook cry for forgiveness. He chuckled bitterly at his act.

But now when he is seeing Jungkook, it doesn't look like an act. Then he remembered Jungkook's eyes yesterday. They looked vulnerable. They looked sincere. He was really sorry. If it was earlier, he would have been now at cloud nine that Jungkook finally understood his pain, but now it doesn't matters. He doesn't care if Jungkook is sorry or not. He doesn't care if he is guilty, he doesn't care if he is hurt. Why should he care about him when he didn't care about any of his pleas in the past ? He doesn't care any of it. Call him selfish or cold hearted, he doesn't care.
