I woke up with the worst headache of all time. I felt pressure on top of me. I rubbed the eye grossness from the sides of my eyes and I didn't have my glasses on. But could still tell by the barely details that Emberly was sleeping soundly on top of me. My heart fluttered, and my stomach was doing flips like it was the freaking Olympics. I moved slightly, throwing my hand behind me to the side table and just pushing it around feeling for my glasses. I knocked down a few things before I found them. But, the loud noises didn't wake her.

I finally slipped my glasses on finally being able to see her crystal clear. I moved the hair out of her face with my free hand. She was gripping my shirt but I just now noticed when she tightened her grip on it.

She may be in a deep sleep, but her face looked like she was concerned or something. She's had a rough life, l couldn't believe it either. Her demeanor was so great. She was a great people person and she seemed to be so positive and she was charming.

"Em, I know you're sleeping and can't really hear me. But that makes this easier for me. When we kissed, I felt like my worlds broken electricity had fired back up again. Your smile could easily make any bad day a good day. And, I promise you that while I'm around you will never be in danger. It's gonna be a challenge, taking care of you. But you're worth a little danger to me. Your positivity lights a room when you enter and I can't wait to spend today with you. And damn I hope we find Amy." I spoke in a deep whisper.

I felt her shift movement and remain asleep. I had to pee, so fuck bad but there was no way I could get up. I threw my hand back again, searching for my phone to see if I had any important text.

A small 12 appeared on my messenger icon. 12 messages?! I tapped to find that Wade, Bob, My Mom, Tom, and Jack had all texted me.

I looked at the most recent, from Wade. There were actually 8 messages.

WADE :

"Mark, I hope you take some action here with this girl. I could see it in both your faces. You have an undeniable connection and I hope to hear all about it soon man."

I blushed at this text, just reading it made me all nervous. Even though she was already asleep on top of me.

"Hey man, we just got back to cinnci."

"Did you find her sister?"

"What the fuck are you even doing that you can't look at your phone?! 😐"

The other 4 text from Wade were just my name, in caps. I sighed reading the rest of them. My mom and brother told me to stay safe. Bob texted me, basically saying the long form of don't get your heart broken. I looked at the YouTube app on my phone, I needed to upload a video. But I couldn't from here. All my pre-recorded shit was back home. I'd have to ask Bob or Wade to do it for me.

"WHAT THE-" I heard Emberly yell as she woke up. She scrambled to get off me, she looked really upset actually.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to-"

"No, it's all okay." I reassured her with a smile. She just nodded, still with that upset look on her face.

She sat up, down by my feet as she typed on her phone. "No text from Amy, but I have 3 missed calls from my mom. We better get going, she's probably angry. It's noon, and I promised her we'd continue you searching today. And she probably wanted us there in the morning. But, I was so worn out."

"I know, we were up until about sunrise. I had a good time though, so don't regret all of it." I scratched the back of my neck as I sat up, there was a lot of space between us.
