MARK

The time we spent together was short, but the amount of memories made weren't. She was what I'd call a calm storm. Have you ever watched it pour, and just pour? And have some hints of thunder and lightning in the distance. The thunder and lightning stayed distant because she didn't need that to upstage her. She was the star of the show. I loved rain, it was amazing. Well, replace the word rain with her name and you've got exactly how I felt.

"We're here bro." Tyler said, the car was shut off for 3 minutes or so before he finally said something. He could see it on my face, when I'm sad, I'm sad. I didn't say anything, I didn't need to. We just both got out. I opened his trunk, grabbed my suitcase. It was on wheels, so I wheeled it up and through the doors as they slid open automatically. I looked back on Cincinnati, I felt like I was forgetting something and I knew exactly what it was.

Her.

I shook my head and slowly walked into the airport. It was crowded, but I've never felt more alone in my whole life. I had my plane ticket and passport in my back pocket. I pulled them out, I only had 10 minutes until they'd call me to board. "She's not gonna hang you out to dry, you know that." Tyler sat down beside me, his words were sympathetic but I couldn't believe them. Here's something a lot of people don't know about Markiplier, he is unlucky in love. And this felt like it was gonna be another one of those occurrences. It started to make me feel like I couldn't be loved, I know all my subscribers do. But, I mean love, actual love.

EMBERLY

"WADE, STEP ON IT." I yelled leaning up between the passenger and drivers set. "I'm going 13 miles over the speed limit! Shush it up!" I needed to get there soon. My opportunity was running out and I could feel it deep in my gut. Wade was an okay driver, but under pressure? Not so much. We passed a sign that I briefly could read. We were close to the airport so close. My heart was pounding, my mind was racing. Yes, you could say my current emotion had the description of a frustrating game of Mario Kart. Wade put on his turn signal as he pulled into the airport. I opened the back door, getting out of the car while it was still moving. I ran as fast as I have before in my life. I stopped as I entered the building. "Shit." I mumbled to myself, realizing how big this place was. I looked to the board, where flight times and gate numbers were up. It took me awhile to find Mark's but as soon as I did, I flew past so many people. Giving me strange looks. But I didn't have time to care.

I got to the gate and he was just about to enter the terminal. "MARK." I yelled he turned around and I ran up to him. Throwing my arms around his neck. He pulled me in tightly. "I- need to go with you." I said breathless. Before he could say anything the attendant at the terminal said Mark had no time. "I have a plan Emberly, I have to go. I promise you I'll tell you." I watched him walk away with a tear rolling down his face. My gut felt like it was on fire. I followed Mark into the terminal. I heard the commotion I caused with crossing the line without a ticket. But I stopped Mark, I kissed him quickly. And hugged him again. "I'm scared Mark, I'm scared." I sobbed into him. "About what?" He said softly stroking my hair. "That you'll forget. About us and me and that you'll stop caring about me." I cried hard. "Listen to me, I could never forget about you. You're the most interesting, beautiful, caring, sweet, funny girl I've ever met. Nothing will ever change that. As soon as I land, I'll call you. No matter what." The guards came rushing in. I still had ahold of Mark. "Keep in touch, okay?" That's the last thing I said to Mark. They pulled me out of the terminal. I felt like my heart was being ripped out the further they brought me away. I saw Tyler standing about 5 feet away looking confused as they pulled me away. They pulled me all the way out the doors. I left mentally exhausted. Wade was standing outside the automatic doors. "What happened?" He asked, "I was too late." I was still trying to catch my breath and regain my composure. "I'm really sorry Emberly. It'll be alright." Wade reassured me with a small pat on the shoulder. I just walked away, back to Wade's car. I just wanted to go home and cry.
