"How is he?" Fang glances over to Ashura, who had lost consciousness after W's kick.
"Surprisingly still in one piece, at least from the outside." V answers, albeit with difficulty as she struggles to carry Ace, "The inside? Probably a few broken bones."
Fang winces, same with Amiya but on a smaller scale. She glances back but faces forward again when she crossed eyes with a certain Draco's glare.
"...How come they aren't taking the chance to attack us?" Fang whispers, daring to jinx themselves.
"Don't know, but I'm betting it has something to do with the doctor." V glances at Ashura with hostility as she recounts their experiences, "Every single strange thing happened after some people crossed eyes with him. So betting that he was responsible for it too."
"V, enough. He is innocent and he doesn't even remember anything." Amiya steely says while V lets out a small scoff.
"Right. The guy who would use any tricks in order to win, just so happens to lose his memory after being gone for 5 months? Mighty suspicious right there."
"He is innocent. I don't want you to antagonize him anymore; I still haven't forgotten your actions earlier."
"Amiya, I've known you for some time and I can say that you are acting very differently than before. And it all started when you gave out that groan."
Fang nervously glances back and forth from them as their argument slowly heats up, while the person in question is sleeping away.
Ashura blinks, before widening his eyes once he digests the info, 'Wait, wait, hold on. Is that all for an explanation?!'
"Yep. And I won't tell you anymore regarding it until you pick a portal."
'Then, tell me why can't I move my body?'
"Ah, it is because your soul and the body are in the process of merging together. I had scoured multiple dimensions to find a suitable body that is compatible with your soul, found multiple of them, yet only this dimension had a free body for use." The old man stops, and Ashura waits for a few seconds.
'...Aren't you going to continue?'
"Already answered, though I never expected you would have seaweed for a brain if you couldn't even understand that." The old man stretches his right arm to look at his wrist, "You only got... 30 seconds? Left."
'Fuck... Um, shit, questions, questions.' He grips his head, 'Fuck, um... Would there be-'
"Time's up. Choose a portal; quickly now, time is resuming." Ashura glances down to see the sword slowly moving.
'I choose the skill portal!'
"Excellent choice!" He snaps his finger, and the sword stops again, "Now, it is time to GACHA!!!"
'Wait, what?' Ashura's expression of loathing shifts into dumbfounded as he sees the old man snapping his finger and a small lottery machine with a big red button on top of it materializes in front of the skill portal.
"Now, let me explain how this works: There are over 3 trillion skills in existence, the most overpowered ones are mythical while emitting rainbow aura while the shitty ones are normal with brown, and you only get one free roll, but you can pick some "Annoyance" which is a list of debuff that would make your life a tad bit difficult, in exchange for more rolls! As a special privilege, if you roll 10 times then you have a chance of getting an orange legendary card!"
'...' Ashura slaps himself out of his daze and glares at the old man, 'Are you for real? Why did you make me believe I was on limited time?!'
The old man shrugs and innocently whistles, "You didn't ask if I could freeze time again; not my fault you have seaweed for a brain." Seeing Ashura open his mouth, likely to argue with him, he continues, "Though, it is true that I can't stay here for long, so hurry up with the choices. Here, I'll bring up the "Annoyance" list."
