"Who am I?" A female with shoulder-length red hair and red horns sadly asks as she uses her huge claymore to look at her reflection. Light violet eyes look right back at her before disappearing as she puts her sword down.

"Who am I?" She repeats to herself like a broken record before snapping her eyes to her left.

"More annoyances..." She squints her eyes before lifting her sword like it weighs nothing. She starts to walk off into the distance.

1955 December 6 1096
Ning Village
Outskirts Yan

"So... Nian?"

"Yes~"

"You're searching for a sibling of yours that is responsible for burning down this village and most of the nearby ones?"

"Yep~ Buzz cut style yellow hair, yellow arms, wearing an outfit that makes her look like a gangster; that and she has a cult following all of her whims."

"And you use that compass to find her?"

"Well, yes but this stupid thing only works like half of the time."

"...Do you know why she is burning the villages?"

"Nope~" Nian stops hugging Ashura then gets up from his lap to stand in front of Ranger, "I would really appreciate it if you stopped interrupting my hugging time~" She says in a sing-song tone while slightly smiling.

Ranger's eyes twitch before he sighs, "Two more questions," He adamantly says.

Nian shrugs before crossing her red arms together, "Sure. Hurry up with the questions."

"Who is that kid and do you remember if you had seen this emblem?" Ranger points to the little girl who is sweeping the floor using a broom then to his badge with a rook inside a triangle.

Nian uncrosses her arms then she taps on the ruined table nearby, "That girl is probably the Leader of this place's daughter, and yeah, I've seen that emblem before; I'll even show you where." She glances at Ashura, "Though, Ashura here would rather be here hugging with me, right?~"

Ashura opens his mouth but closes it as he sees Shining putting her hand on Nian's shoulder, "I believe that we should go check the bodies first. We still need to find the first team," She says as her eyes glinted a bit.

"Oh fine." Nian shrugs off the hand and heads to the door without glancing back.

"Well, guess we should follow her?" Ashura asks as he stands up, followed by the others, though a few of them bite their lips as they get up.

Shining glances to the back and orders, "Some of you stay here to protect the place while the rest come with us." Cardigan, Fang, female Oni, Lava nod as they sit back down while the rest decide to follow them.

Ashura heads to the door while the rest opt to go out through the holes, making him sigh as he closes the door after going through it. He spots Nian leaning against a small stone building nearby.

"They're in there." Nian pushes herself off then points to her back with her thumb.

A sinking feeling hits Ashura as he goes closer to the building. A quick glance to the rest shows that they also might be feeling the same, judging from their grimace. He places a hand on the door to push it but stops due to Shining placing her hand on his.

"Better for me to go first, please," She softly says but Ashura shakes his head.

"I appreciate it but if I plan on sticking around, then I need to get used to these kinds of situations," He softly says back as he pushes the door open without another delay.
