"Oh? Why if it isn't Firewatch and Meteorite~" A female with knee-length black-blue hair and cat ears smiles while waving at the duo entering the room.

Meteorite blinks before looking at her then shrugs as she walks to her while Firewatch merely walks to another direction.

"Hello, Blaze." Meteorite raises a hand at Blaze as a greeting, "Has Doctor Kal'tsit already arrived?"

Blaze shakes her head while shrugging, "Nope. Haven't seen a slick of her hair here."

"Ah, I see."

Meteorite looks around the room, taking note of the various operators that are here, "...Are we going to war?"

Blaze snorts, "It looks like that huh? Must have around thirty or so of us here." She shakes her head, "Anyway, how did your mission go? Think it was about... Enemy or something?"

Meteorite sighs, "We failed to find any sign of them there... Though, we found Reunion there."

Blaze narrows her eyes, "Reunion? What are they doing so far out there?"

She shrugs then opens her mouth, though closes it as she hears the door open. She and Blaze turn to look and see Kal'tsit coming in, followed by Amiya, and Ashura.

Blaze freezes as she sees the familiar hood of him, "...Ah shit. Should have expected him to be here." She clicks her tongue as she glares at him.

Meteorite glances at her, "Is that the Doctor? I was only recruited here recently."

Blaze slowly nods, not bothering to look at her, "Yes. And the one responsible for all those unneeded deaths." She blinks as she notices more operators trickling in after Ashura, "Excuse me, oh great Falling Meteorite, I am needed somewhere else."

Blaze exaggeratedly bows at Meteorite in a butler manner before running towards Nearl and Melantha, who were one of the operators that came in. The latter merely shrugs then checks up on her bowgun.

"Oi~ Nearl, little kitten~!" Blaze excitedly says in a loud voice, prompting for the aforementioned to look at her, "Looks like you'll need to deal with little ol me again~"

Nearl blinks before lightly smiling, "Hello, Blaze. Your firepower will come in handy for the operation." She turns to look at her before blinking as she sees her glomping the ever shit out of Melantha.

"H-help m-me..." Melantha gasps out as she struggles to get out of Blaze hold. She beggingly glances at Nearl, who sighs and effortlessly separates them.

"Oi~! I was enjoying myself!" Blaze pouts as she glares at Nearl while Melantha quickly hides behind her. The latter peeks out from her hiding spot with fear in her eyes.

Nearl shakes her head, "Behave. Doctor Kal'tsit is about to begin." She nods behind her, prompting Blaze to turn around and see that Kal'tsit is on top of a podium while Ashura is behind her.

Kal'tsit coughs, loud enough to get the talking to die down and the operators to focus on her, "As stated in the mission profile all you got, in thirty minutes, we will be going to Lungmen for assistance in dealing with Reunion forces, Penguin Logistic and BlackSteel will aid us. Prepare yourself during this time." She nods at Ashura, prompting him to get up the podium to stand beside her.

Ashura takes a deep breath and exhales, "I am Doctor Ashura and I will be overseeing the operation. I promise to all of you that I am not the same person as before my disappearance." He looks down at the ground, not wanting to meet their face, though he hears a snort coming from in front of him, prompting him to look up and try to find the culprit.

Emerald, light orange, dark olive green, bright sky blue, ruby, light green, meet cyan, and Ashura falls down to the ground in front of him, doing a barrel roll, and laying on his back with his hands tightly clutching his head. He grits his teeth as the worst headache he ever had assaults his brain.

Blaze groans as she stumbles with her eyes rapidly blinking before the pain disappears. She looks up to see Meteorite, Firewatch, a female with butt-length blonde hair and fox ears, a female with neck-length pink hair that is mostly hidden by her blue hood, a female with shoulder-blade length white hair and wearing a hat that has fox ears sticking out, slowly rising up as her.

"Urgh..." Blaze groans again as she shakes her head before blinking as she sees multiple operators crowding in front of the podium then glances to see Nearl and Melantha gone. She feels a strong urge to go join them but she shakes it off with gritted teeth.

"Damn it, what is happening...?!"

Outer Layer
Lungmen

"Ch'en! Where are you?!" A female with butt-length wavy golden hair and cat ears, shouts as she frantically looks around the area, filled with craters and cracked buildings that look like they only need one more force for them to crumble.

"S-Swire, h...Here." Swire hears a tired voice calling out from a nearby 1-storey building, prompting her to go in through a newly made hole in the wall and see Ch'en sitting down on a chair while breathing heavily.

"Ch'en!" Swire shouts before slowly coming to a stop in front of her, "Come on, we need to get out of here before more of those bastards come."

Ch'en sighs, "Alright..." She gets up but flinches, something that Swire notices.

"Where are you hurt?"

"It's nothing."

Swire ignores Ch'en and checks the latter's body, only to raise an eyebrow as she sees her legs, "This is your definition of fine? Bruised legs?"

Ch'en doesn't say anything, prompting Swire to sigh and curse under her breath before grabbing the former's shoulder, "Come on, I'll help you over to the rest of my squad."

Ch'en swats her hand away, "I can go there by my –" She hisses as she abruptly stands up then spews out Lungmen curses as she goes back down to sitting.

Swire smirks, "Oh really?" Before forcefully grabbing her shoulder and slowly lifting her to her legs, "Stop being a baby and let me help."

Ch'en sighs but lets her do what she wants, "Tell anybody about this and you will regret it."

"Hah, like that will stop me, Miss super intendant that always force people to keep working. Hoshi will love this news!"

"Don't you dare tell her!"

"Too late~!"

Ch'en and Swire bicker as they wobble over to a group of armed people with the Lungmen symbol proudly displayed at the front part of the armor.

Welp, I wanted to make a chapter when the arknights anime came out but I completely forgot about it. Anyway, lots of operators got soulmate-tify? That going to be a word now and try to guess the rest. And onwards to Lungmen!
