A female with neck-length pure silver hair, walks near a pile of rocks while her crimson eyes scan her surroundings.

She accidentally kicks something, prompting her to look down, though a nearby tentacle creature notices her then charges with frightening speed.

The female picks up the object, then notices an insignia of a rook inside a triangle with the words "RHODES ISLAND" under the rook, and pockets the object into her coat.

Just as the creature nears her, it is sliced into 2 all of a sudden. The female pays no heed to the creature and continues her walk.

Medical Wing Private Room
Inside Rhodes Island

"Holy shit you are pathetic." Ashura looks up to see the same eye as before looking at him, though something is a bit different.

"...Did you just grow another eye?" Ashura asks as he sees another eye looking at him.

Both of the eyes roll around as a sigh comes out, "You are pathetic and an idiot."

Ashura glares as he balls his fist, "I don't want to hear it from the guy who sacrificed lives."

"Believe what you want. We are the total opposites of each other after all." The eyes look up, "Though that might change soon."

"I will find a way to get rid of you."

"Or you could prove to me that you can lead them all better than I did. Even if you have less than zero percent chance."

"Shut up with your mocking!"

"Oh? But I am not. Not this one. I believe that as long as you got a chance, no matter if it's below zero, almost to the point that it shouldn't even be considered, that chance is all that it takes to win."

The eye stares right into Ashura, almost like judging him, "I am the perfect example of that, even if I had to sacrifice my operators, allies, family, to win."

Ashura widens his eyes as he takes a step back, "Y-you actually had family...? But, but, everybody kept saying how you –"

"I did." The bitterness silences Ashura, then Doctor continues in an icy tone now, "I'll just tell you my side of the story and you'll make your own judgment."

Doctor takes a breath and exhales, "After I came to Victoria, I was already on the brink of starvation, actually god never came that time... Is there a condition for him coming...? Anyway, I passed out in the alleyway, sure that I would die with the trash there and maybe go to a more peaceful world. Then I woke up in a bed with a roof over my head."

The eyes look down, "Not long after, two kids came, a Sarkaz and a Vulpo, then their parents came in. Took me into their little family and I basked myself into their warmth and affection. Grew up while working odd jobs, got myself into the academy, met Bagpipe, Ch'en, Horn, and others. Graduated... So I bought a cake for me and my family to celebrate..."

Then the eyes look at him, "Guess what I came back to? No need, my family, originally infected free... Being dragged out by the police with oripathy lesion all over each body."

"I remember trying to fight to save them, got beaten unconscious... Woke up at Bagpipe's place with all three –"

"Ummm... Can you –"

"No. This is important stuff since I used to write letters to those three with my updates... Excluding the fact I didn't tell them I was the Doctor... So, I need you to not screw my relationship with them up."

"Ok...?" Ashura then mutters, "I was going to ask you something else."

Doctor ignores the mutter, "Good, now, I tried to find where my family was but... I couldn't find anything. Nothing. Even with me expanding all of my contacts then Rhodes Island... Which led to me concluding them dead and now I hate this world for taking my family."

"...That's it?"

"What do you mean that's it?"

"No no no, I meant that you didn't really explain it well and contradicted your words a lot ." Ashura holds his hand high as a surrender notion.

Doctor sighs, "I don't remember the finer details, ok? It's been like what ten years now? Maybe more. And make sense of why I said that as you will."

"Erm, ok... How old are you, I mean us?"

"Don't know. I forgot."

The surrounding starts to shake, prompting them to look around, "Guess time's up again. Anyway, as a last request, try to find my family's body. No need to do it but please."

Before Ashura could do or say anything, he starts to fall. The last thing he sees is the eyes looking at him with what he could guess is sadness.

He blinks then slowly gets up to see that he is in the same room before he walked out with Atalanta, though this time without anybody in here.

"...Shit. I forgot to ask him about the soulmates," Ashura laments to himself before looking at the door, as if expecting it to open.

"Guess they are eating... Though they took way too long to come... I know that soulmates can sense when is the other in a life and death situation but –"

The door swings open, revealing Kal'tsit and Amiya with the former carrying a clipboard. They notice him sitting, making them rush over to him.

"Ashura! Are you ok? Do you need anything? Let me go get anything you –"

He cuts in with a wry smile while patting Amiya, who melts in his touch, "I'm fine, Amiya." He nods to Kal'tsit, who nods back with relief in her eyes.

Ashura then notices the clipboard, "What the clipboard for?" He asks while continuing patting Amiya.

"So... We got three potential recruits waiting... Actually let me call them." Kal'tsit takes out her phone to call somebody.

"We apologize for trying to kill you, Doctor." A female with light blue neck-length hair and cat ears bows, followed by a female with white knee-length hair and horse ears and a female with light pink belly-length hair and rodent ears.

"...Who are you three?" Ashura asks, though he soon widens his eyes, "Oh the sou- I mean, attackers last night, right?" He lightly grimaces as he almost made a mistake and hopes no one else heard it, though a glance to Kal'tsit finds him out of luck as she raises an eyebrow at him.

The female with light blue hair awkwardly nods then answers, "Monique." She points to herself first then to white hair, "Codename Platinum." Then the light pink, "Codename Gravel."

"Ok... Can you please tell me why you attacked me? And I thought there was a guy last night since he called you sis? Also stop bowing please..."

All of them stop bowing then Monique explains with an annoyed tone, "If you mean Roy, who is an idiot that looks similar to me and that he likes to call me sis to piss me off, he is on his way back to Kazimierz with our resignation words."

Platinum awkwardly looks away from him, "We were ordered to finish the job by our boss –"

Monique cuts in, "Former boss remember. We won't be with them anymore."

Gravel pipes in while also looking away from him, "I was hired by Czarny to... Kill you since he showed evidence that you were planning to kill the Grand Knight of the Adeptus Sprawiedliwi Kazimierz..." She reluctantly explains while looking down.

Ashura doesn't say anything for a while before he slowly says, "You said "finish the job". What do you mean by that...?"

This time, all 3 of them look away from him before Monique reluctantly says.

"We were the ones who planted the explosives to kill you during that night."
