Miles POV.

As I painted over the outside of my house I spotted a car pulling up in front of me. I figured it was someone going to ask me if this place was for sale like they always do but when I saw it was a female I didn't know what to expect. The sun was shining on her so I couldn't really get a good look until I saw her.

My heart skipped a beat while I froze dropping the paintbrush. I closed my eyes for just a moment think it was a dream or a vision even but no. She was very much real and more beautiful then I've ever seen her. She was smiling so big as she walked closer towards me wearing a flowered sundress that swayed so perfectly around her hips. Her hair more beautiful then ever, lighter then I remember, more brownish then blonde and the sun shining down on her I had a moment of the first time I ever laid my eyes on her.

"Hi" I sighed as she stopped in front of me.

"Hi" she smiled "I never got to thank you for the kindle" a small breeze flew through the air removing her hair from her neck revealing her beautiful off the shoulder dress. If it's possible I think she got even more beautiful then I remember.

"You don't have to thank me" I said as her smile returned even brighter then before. "Ellie.. are you staying?"

Please god Ellie stay with me. Tell me you're here to stay.

"I have to tell you so much Miles. First I should start off with apologising for leaving... I needed to figure myself out and I couldn't do it with you. I also want to tell you that I'm so in love with you and I haven't fallen out of it in these last seven months"

"Eloise... are you staying?" I needed to know now because if I didn't know right now I would have a heart attack right here in the dirt. She nodded. That's a yes right? "Say it... I need you to say it"

"I'm staying, Miles" I let go of that breath I had been holding in and ran up to her and picked her up in my arms before kissing her like the very first time. Except this time I knew exactly how good it felt so I wanted it more. "Are you crying?" She whispers like an angel was speaking to me.

I don't even say yes. I just nod and kiss her neck as the tears fall from my eyes on to my shirt before hugging her as tight as I possibly could. I never wanted to let go because I've never felt that type of pain before, I love Ellie with my entire life I will never let her go again.

"I have to show you something" I take her hand and drag her into the house that doesn't fully have the walls put up yet but only a few more months before it's done. She giggled as she ran behind me until we got to our bedroom.

"Is this our room?" She ran her fingertips over the wood that I carved our names in.

"Yes" I smiled and when she turned around facing away from me I took that opportunity and took the small box I had been carrying around since Anna told me Ellie was coming back home.  My mother gave me her wedding ring when I told her I was looking for rings and so I've been carrying it around in my pocket for two weeks.

She turned around and she immediately started crying. I took her hand from her face and kissed it. "What are you doing?" She laughs wiping her tears away.

"What I should have done a long long time ago" I took a deep breath before saying the words I dreamed of saying the moment I first laid my eyes on Ellie. "Sunshine, Will you spend the rest of your life with me, will you stay with me in this house, will you carry my children and will you grow up with me?"

"Don't you think it's too soon?" She smiled biting her lip.

"No, I think if I haven't fallen out of love with you in the past almost year without any communication with you then I know I will love you until I die. I don't need anymore time, do you?"

"No" she smiled as I slid my mothers ring on her finger. She pulled me up and crashed her lips on mine. She was my happy place. She was my sunshine.

That night I took her back to my place and made love to my fiancé. I caressed her body in ways I never have before and I made her feel more loved then she could ever feel if that's possible. I worshipped her body under and on top of mine until my fiancé was half asleep in my arms while I drew a picture of us getting married on her back with my index finger.

"I missed when you called me sunshine" she lazily sighs.

"I missed you, sunshine" I kiss her forehead before she snuggled into my chest.
