The Top Student

"Woah Guin, you topped the charts!"

Wearing a blank expression, I glanced at Kagura who announced the results from the final exams excitedly. She was carrying her beloved umbrella and that was a great help for her dahil ang init init ngayon.

Napairap ako, ano pabang nakakabigla don?

"May bago ba?" Lunox questioned her boredly. Napatango nalang si Kagura nang makarealize ito. I rolled my eyes.

"Grabe, grabe kana Guinevere."

'Di namin siya pinansin. Nilipat ko ang atensyon ko sa ibang mga estudyante na tumitingin ng results. Ang iba'y tuwang tuwa habang ang iba naman ay hindi.

"Damn I failed the combat and skills." I heard one of them spoke. Agaw pansin ang buhok nitong naghahati sa kulay, light and dark shades of purple. I bit my lip to suppress a smile as I found the little girl adorable.

"You scored 196/200 in Math? Excellent!"

"200 sa magic, woah!"

"189 in-"

"Kailan kaba tatahimik Kag?" Putol sa kanya ni Lunox, naiirita na din sa boses ni Kagura. Napalingon ako sa kanila, "Tara na, susunduin pa tayo ni Beatrix dito mamaya."

May sinabi pa si Kagura pero hindi ko na sila pinakinggan at umalis na doon. Nakakairita talaga siya madalas dahil sa ingay nito. Parang hindi pa nasanay sa laging resulta ng exams bawat sem, magic man o hindi... palagi akong nauuna. Psh.

Minsan nap-pressure ako gawa ng pamilya ko pero nakakaya ko naman, it's not that hard. My dad always say na I'm great, which is true though.

I walked expensively, sexily, and gorgeously towards the corridor with a fancy bag around my shoulders.

Even if it's hot, the genuine smile won't leave my lips as I watch my schoolmates cheer for me. How I love my life being the most famous charm user, the so-called Miss Violet- Guinevere Baroque.

People love me for being intelligent, absolutely good in everything, and most importantly for being beautiful- though my brother, Lancelot, is a shit for calling me ugly every single day.

"Baroque!"

Napalingon ako sa likuran nang may marinig akong tumawag sa apilyedo ko, si Professor Eudora.

The outpouring confidence from earlier left my body as the thunder queen approached me with her usual cold and dark aura.

Napatayo ako nang ayos at yumuko nang siya'y tuluyang makalapit sa gawi ko. Her authorative ambiance was overflowing and I can't help but shiver. I was left with no words.

"Come to my office before dismissal, may ipapagawa lang ako." Malamig na aniya at napatango ako agad. I can't look straight into her eyes as her glowing blue orbs are really hypnotizing. I can't even reply to her, it's like my voice was stolen.

She left eventually after that. I sighed, regaining my composure and continue my way to the library.

"Can I borrow a book?" I asked the librarian when I entered the building. She looked at me in surprise. She even fixed her eye glasses without breaking her gaze on me.

Am I that beautiful? I grinned.

My eyes roamed around the huge room of books. The place is somewhat enchanted, I can feel the strong forces of magic arround me.
