As Yoongi and Aubrey arrive back at the solstice, everyone else seems to still be in throngs of winter bliss, camping under the canopies, drinking and enjoying their time with either their bonded mate or mate just for the night.
Summer is cuddled up in Hoseok's arms, under a blanket on the porch of the cabin as they watch the snow fall around them, his cheek pressed on the top of her head, they seemed to be comfortable together.
Yoongi takes Aubrey's hand in his and strides through the snow towards them, as Yoongi shifts closer his nose rises in the air at the faint smell of a certain hormone.
His eyes dart to Aubrey and she innocently stares back at him, having no idea what he has just picked up on.
"Baby are you feeling okay?" He questions her as they stride towards Hoseok and Summer.
"Just tired, I guess," She replies.
He continued to eye her suspiciously as they all entered the cabin together after greeting each other.
Walking into the bedroom with Aubrey he places his hands on her hips from behind pulling her to him caressing her with his arms in front of her.
"Are you sure you're okay?"
"Yoongi, I'm fine. Are you okay?" turning to face him, she rests the back of her hand on his forehead feeling for a fever, trying to find a reason for his strange behaviour.
Taking a deep breath through his nose, he smells the air around them, disappointment obvious in his expression as the scent he was picking up seemed to have disappeared.
"Wait here" Turning on his heel, he leaves the bedroom to find Hoseok and Summer getting a little handsy on the sofa. Clearing his throat he makes his presence known for the two to pull apart, smiling at Hoseok as the scent he thought to be from Aubrey fills the room.
"Can I talk to you outside for a minute?" he asks the male.
"Sure" Nodding at Yoongi, Hoseok leaves a gentle kiss on Summers cheek before joining him outside in the cold
"What's up?" He asks Yoongi as the pair stand rubbing their hands together to keep their fingers warm from the relentless cold air.
"You know I can smell her right?" he raises his eyebrows at him.
"Sshhhh!" Pulling Yoongi away from the door, he leads him to the porch bench where he had previously been cuddling Summer. "She doesn't know yet! I was waiting for Aubrey to get back so they can do that test thingy together"
"I thought it was Aubrey at first," Yoongi sighed.
"Sorry dude. I won," Hoseok chuckled trying to lighten the mood.
"Honestly I was excited but after her ordeal before, I kind of understand why she isn't right now"
"Yeah it will take time after that I'm sure, her body needs to recover fully before she will conceive. But don't worry, it will happen when the time is right" He reassures Yoongi.
