Summer Solstice

"How about her? She's hot!" Jungkook says excitedly as a slender blonde catches his eye.

They were all now peacefully enjoying the summer solstice. Peaceful in knowing that the infamous Kim brothers would be nowhere in sight.

After killing the two oldest Kims, a rumour had quickly spread around the pack that Taehyung had gone into hiding for fear that the outcasts were just biding their time.

When in fact they had no real intention to kill the youngest Kim. He had never actually done anything towards the outcasts that granted them a reason to kill him.

Except maybe sleeping with Summer but her and Aubrey had sworn to take that piece of information to their graves.

Jungkook was a ball of hormones at his first solstice he had gotten to attend since coming of age. He had watched his outcast pack make their way through any female that was willing to have them, and he imagined it would be the same for him. Only to be disappointed to find that they had apparently all matured and insistent on him finding his mate rather than a fling.

"You have to sense it, feel it, it's like hunger in your heart Jungkook!"

"Fine! it's easy for you, you've found your mate Jimin'' Jungkook huffed, flopping down on the rock by his pack.

"You'll find her, I prom—" Jungkook stood abruptly.

"What's that smell?!" he asked inquisically, lifting his nose to the air as the warm summer breeze whipped around them.

"What smell?" Jimin looked around.

"It's like... apples. But like the kind that have been baked into a pie."

"Sorry bro, I can only smell roses, as my Rose is over there, growing our little bud inside her" Jimin smiled happily as his mate beamed his way. "Go and find her Jungkook"

Jungkook dashed all around the temple to find no one as remarkably divine as he could sense, he was almost about to give up, when a golden haired beauty landed in front of him from the sky.

She had been jumping from tree to tree to find her sandalwood scented mate, it was manly and everything she craved for.

"It's you!" They both said in unison.

Both smiling shyly, Jungkook was a little awkward, he wanted to kiss her lips, the wind blew through her flowing golden hair pushing her sweetness into Jungkook's senses. And he couldn't hold back anymore.

"Are you ready?"

Standing in their cabin they had acquired for the solstice, Aubrey and Yoongi were both equally nervous to reveal their newborn son to the rest of the pack.

As the new leader, she knew the pack would be curious to know what her litter would look like. Especially with an outcast as a father.

Sighing with a nod, she bundled up the little one before handing him over to his father. She knew his appearance would be a shock to all that laid eyes on him. She just hoped it would be a welcoming and positive one.

With his baby in his arms, Yoongi gave Aubrey a reassuring smile before stepping out into the warm summer evening, hearing the rowdy pack in the distance as they started walking.

Walking side by side as they neared the temple, they gave each other one last glance before Aubrey cleared her throat loudly silencing the crowd.

Stopping at the sound of their alphas voice, all possible mates stepped apart to show respect. All bar Jungkook who kept his new mate wrapped under his arm with a proud look on his face making Yoongi breathe out a chuckle.

"Thank you for your patience." Aubrey started, taking their son from Yoongi's hold. "I know all of you have been waiting to meet the new member of the pack and I appreciate each and every one of you for giving us space whilst our son went through some unexpected changes."

"These types of changes have not been seen in a Lycan for centuries." Yoongi continued as Aubrey slowly made her way into the waiting crowd. "So we ask that you please keep your opinions and prejudice to yourselves and please welcome your new future Alpha, Leo."

Gently removing the blanket from around her bundle in her arms, Aubrey hadn't realised she was holding her breath until she heard a loud gasp from the crowd.

Small whispers echoed around the grounds as the crowd drew closer to get a better look, all of their eyes growing wide as they got to see the new leader of the pack.

"His eyes!" one of the crowd gasped.

"They're gold!" Another added, making the Lycan that respectfully stayed back start to approach her and her son to get a look.

"He's beautiful," says Jungkook, eyeing up the crowd.

"I've read about this." His nameless mate speaks up. "This means he's the ultimate. The supreme Alpha." She kneeled suddenly, pulling Jungkook down with her.

"She's from a Tree tribe, knowledge at its finest" interrupts another, looking down on Jungkook's newfound mate before following her lead and falling to his knees.

Everyone began to kneel, following the lead of the girl with the golden hair.

Looking at the pack kneeling before them, Yoongi and Aubrey stood in shock. They had not expected such acceptance from them, secretly thinking that they would just see their son as another outcast.

But as the crowd began to quietly chant beneath them, Yoongi and Aubrey smiled at one another. Finally feeling the acceptance they knew they deserved. As leaders. As Alphas. As a family.
