Yoongi's instincts screamed at him not to leave his mate and cub alone but he knew that facing Namjoon head on while they were safe was smarter, just in case somehow he didn't make it back to them, Summer would take care of his family, he trusted her immensely.

Shutting the bedroom door quietly, he crept to the living room where Hoseok, Jimin and Jungkook were waiting and ready.

"Where are we going?" Jimin rubbed his eyes from his short sleep.

"The Temple where it all started"

After closing the door behind them Hoseok locked it and hung mistletoe on the door, the very scent made him want to throw up but it would keep his family safe and their scent undetectable.

They all piled into the car, Jungkook and Jimin slept in the back as their strength had been tested the most from sleeping on floors, running on patrols and on constant guard. It was nice to be able to relax for a change. Even if it was squished together in the back seat.

That would soon be short lived as Yoongi was driving them into a fight, Hoseok had managed to wound Namjoon but it only brought them to this point, he would still have to fight him head on. Aubrey and their baby would never be safe until he was dead.

Yoongi felt guilty about leaving suddenly without telling Aubrey, but he knew she wouldn't allow him to leave if he told her and with everything he had to lose he needed to ensure that his family would be protected and hidden with Summer. He just hoped she didn't see it as abandonment.

It took constant turns, back and forth between Yoongi and Hoseok as they drove closer to the temple grounds, he knew their scent was masked with mistletoe for now but as soon as they drew nearer the sun would come up, the scent would fade and they would be exposed.

Aubrey's heart alerted her awake as she felt a sting, anxiety awashed her immediately and tears began to flood down her face, she felt alone. Feeling for Yoongi's body next to her for comfort.

The pit of her stomach filled with dread as she was met with an empty bed. Getting up she peered over her sleeping child before exhaling the heavy breath that laid in her throat as the thought of her child could be missing.

Leaving the room whilst wearing one of summer's robes she peaked out of the door to complete darkness. The only sounds coming from Summer's room.

Aubrey opened the door as she heard a shuffling inside, Summer was sitting in an old rocking chair, with her baby soothing him to sleep, Aubrey must have been exhausted to not hear his cries.

"Is she hungry?" Aubrey asks as she rubs her eyes, still a little out of it.

"No, she can't sense her father, my baby is anxious, Hoseok is missing" Summer cradles her baby to her chest to settle her down as she breathes in her mother's maternal scent of milk.

"Yoongi's gone too, as are Jimin and Jungkook" Aubrey informs. "And I know exactly where they've gone"

Summer stroked the little brown hair of her child while she nursed her little by little, her insides feeling empty as her mate left her with a piece of herself missing. Her heart was aching, but she knew wherever he was he was feeling it. Aubrey felt it too, for Yoongi.

Yoongi could see the summer sun rising up over the horizon as they approached the temple grounds, his heart beating a little harder than usual as it pumped fiercely full of adrenaline.

He did not fear Namjoon, he only feared his army. Namjoon had gone from a Lycan that the pack had only seen as muscle, to a Lycan that would have them hanging on his every word. In a short amount of time, he had the pack believing that not only had Yoongi scarred his own mate, he had murdered her father and their pack leader.

Drawing closer to the grounds, the young Lycans' in the backseat began to stir, their noses being flooded with the scent of their opponents waiting for them in the shadows.

Jungkook was grateful for his time protecting his brothers and Aubrey over spring. It had given him time to work on his physique and become a much larger Lycan than he was the last time he was at the sacred grounds. The last time he was here, he was humiliated in front of the entire pack, reduced to nothing but a heap on the floor by one of the infamous Kim brothers'. Although he knew he was here to help Yoongi, Jin would most certainly be his main target.

Jimin however had one goal in mind, protect Yoongi. He knew his brother would let his emotions get the better of him, let the thought of what Namjoon had subjected his mate to cloud his judgement and not fight smart. It didn't matter if Jimin would have a group of Lycans' on his back, he promised himself to always have one eye on his brother.

Parking the car a mile from the grounds they walked the rest of the way, letting their scents fill the air to show the pack that they were not scared. A fight had been called, and they were here.

Watching the ground crack beneath his feet with each step he took, Yoongi knew the odds were stacked against him, that he would most likely not make it out of this alive. That thought alone had him wanting to turn back, go and retrieve his mate and run for the hills. But what kind of father to an alpha would do that? If he was going to die, he was going to do it honouring his family. Giving himself a legacy his son could tell his friends about one day.

His father may be an outcast. Be he's no coward.

Seeing the crowd already gathered through the thick brush, Yoongis' shoulders instinctively pulled back pushing his chest forward as a sign of dominance.

Noticing the rest of the pack already in Lycan form, Yoongi gave his brothers a silent nod encouraging them to change.

Shifting simultaneously the outcast men were soon Lycan, their clothes in shreds and their teeth bared, Yoongi snarled before they all revealed themselves to the insubordinate pack, locking eyes with the one mutt he had come to destroy.

Stepping forward their noses touched as growls erupted from their chests.

It was the signal they had all been waiting for.

The time had come.

Lunging back baring their claws, they both awaited the first blow, until a distinctive howl was heard in the distance.
