Confession

I am hidden behind a screen.

A penitent is waiting for forgiveness.

The confession is beginning.

My God,

I am sorry for my sins with all my heart.

Secrets are whispered.

Arms covered with unforgiveable,

Damnable red lines.

In choosing to do wrong

Sins are given reasons.

Arguing will not return the trigger

Where it was when it all started.

And failing to do good

A hand reaching within the darkness,

Ignored for the comfort of routine.

Only silence was heard, as the darkness grew.

I have sinned against you

Whom I should love above all things.

The only duty held by humanity,

Blemished by blasphemers.

This infinite and unstoppable love.

I firmly intend, with your help,

To do penance,

Lies spitted out,

The confession will finish,

And every promise forgotten.

To sin no more,

And to avoid whatever leads me to sin.

Fly away from the world, Icarus,

Apollo is waiting for you to burn,

The abysses have claimed you.

Our Savior Jesus Christ,

Suffered and died for us.

Paths are appearing,

As you stand, waiting for a guide,

Maps are unnecessary, continue forward.

In his name, my God, have mercy.

Muttered blessings, as the prayer of sorrow ends.

Sins absolved, as the penitent leaves.

Still behind the screen, one word is pronounced.

Amen
