The world is dancing around me.
The past and present intertwine,
While the future watches, watches.
Every age, every day, every second,
All collide today, at this moment.
I'm 5, 10, and 15 at the same time,
I'm every part of myself,
Every event, every breath, every sound.
Do you realize this?
The world is turning, turning, turning.
I am every laugh, every friendly fight;
Around my people, my family,
With every game, every late night talk,
Life is spinning and I'm alive.
And the future is kind.
I am still five somewhere.
Blocking the screams,
Shielding behind anger.
Unwanted hands, and cruel words.
How do you survive the fire?
Sometimes, I am still ten,
Fragile, broken, terrified.
I need a hug and someone to listen,
Listen to my plea, hold my hand, let me cry.
I wish to be the person I needed.
Fifteen is hanging on my shoulders.
Finding myself, finding my world.
Stay gentle, stay nice,
Calm is the way to love, they said.
Breathe and stay up, keep fighting.
In another world, I am older.
I am married and saying goodnight to my kids.
I am babysitting my cousin,
Or setting foot in Ireland.
I am writing once again.
Every moment is happening,
At the same time, right now and somewhere.
It's raining, there's a beautiful sun outside, it's midnight.
I'm drinking tea, I'm with my friends, I'm sleeping.
What is real when the world never stops?
The music is following my steps,
I am learning how to walk on the rhythm.
I am tired, I am flying, I am euphoric.
I am here and there, I'm breathing.
The world is spinning, and spinning, and spinning,
And never stops.
