Chapter 10 : attack the estate

After Qing let Jack go back to his place, Qing let Nine go back to the castle with him, Nine was happy and would love to go with him. But then he remembered Ian from earlier and worried that Qing would get hurt because of himself, but Qing had already get use it, and he didn't care if Ian is reject him or not. He cares about nine and would not let him get hurt, so he bring nine back without noticing, but since the spring ball isn't over. So he thought that nine could still find Melissa, but when they arrived, they saw Melissa with Ian and with the female lead Yuri Elizabeth! Yuri has golden curly hair like waves, blue eyes like ocean, it is a beauty that capture all male leads heart. Qing forget that Yuri is going to meet Ian in the spring ball no less, nine is happy to see Melissa but he didn't know who Yuri is. Qing didn't know if he should interfere or not, but Yuri saw him, and she didn't know why Qing would be here and didn't said anything.

Yuri asked Qing "excuse me, are you the second prince?"

When she asked Qing about who he is, Melissa and Ian had also saw Qing with nine as well. Yuri had just think that she shouldn't have say it, but for her, it was the first time that she met the second prince. She thought he would be like Ian but it wasn't the case, he had long straight black hair and had eyes like Ian. For some reason, she think he is different from Ian.

Melissa ran to them "there you two are, where have you been?"
Qing explain to her "don't worry Melissa, at least I find nine now,"
Qing then greet Yuri "nice to meet you Lady Yuri, I didn't know you are here,"
Yuri also greet him "it's a pleasure to meet you too, your highness,"
Qing thought with a smile on his face 'goodness, she really is an angel, she deserves a better man than my brother, but not me because I do respect her chose.'
Ian greet Yuri with a bouquet on his hand "it's a pleasure too, Yuri, would you accept my flower?"
Yuri thought in confuse 'but isn't he lady Melissa fiancé? And he even give me flower in front of her!'
Qing and Melissa thought 'where did he get the flower from?'

After all the drama that happen, Qing had decided that nine would be in Qing place in a while since he thought that Jack is going to attack him again, and Melissa is fine with it since Qing is the person she trust. But Melissa still fail on her plan of revenge, so in a few days, she is like someone who didn't have a soul in her. So she just daze off as always, until Martha snapped her out of it, Martha had travel a long way to congratulate Melissa because she heard about her upcoming wedding, and she decided to stay here at the estate for a while with permission from the duke.

Martha trying to comfort Melissa "it's because the prince didn't announce your wedding date at the ball, isn't? You must have been anticipating it too... Don't worry my lady! I'm sure he'll ask you to set the date sooner or later!"
Melissa didn't want hear that and thought 'fu*king hell'

After the spring ball that happed a few days ago, Melissa can confirm with certain that she was in the world of the novel including Qing as well, and the majority of future events would follow it as well. But that doesn't mean Melissa need to behave exactly as written in the novel, but she could only change is Melissa's future. So no matter how much she want give Ian a taste of his own shit, he could still have his happily ever after with the love of his life. But then she think about Qing situation, Qing is the second prince and Ian brother at that. He wouldn't need to worry about his situation but she think that Qing is a better prince than Ian, because he care about his empire, and he had been managing when he is 12 years old. Melissa know that from his story when they were having tea from two days ago, but he had no desire to rule the empire. Nor that he wants Yuri to be his, so after she realize that, all her motivation were gone.

Melissa sway in her chair 'let's just take a break... And enjoy life... it'll take a while to get my engagement annulled anyways.'
Martha lecture Melissa "you're getting so lazy because you're stuck at home all day! Gosh, you remind me of young master Jake when he was younger!"
Melissa flinch when she heard the last sentence "Martha, that's really offensive."
Martha happily suggestion "Then how about you go for a short walk outside? The roses in the garden are in full bloom!"
Melissa thought while glance at the basket 'so she was planning on having me go outside from the beginning.'
She ask Martha "what's this basket for?"
Martha bring the basket happily "I've prepared a meal for the two of us, so let's have a picnic while we're outside!"

Melissa was shock upon hearing that, she tried to not let her bring the food in a polite way but failed, Melissa want Yona to help herself, but she just rise her finger and draw a line between her head. Means that Melissa is so dead, Martha is the best nanny, but she was absolutely suck at cooking! Melissa put two middle finger at Yona, swore that she gonna kill her when she came back. The sun were dazzling and the rose are blooming beautifully, all good except for Martha cooking. Her dishes were filled with ominous aura, Melissa pray to anything just protect her stomach. But she then look at the table settings, Martha was one of the few people close to Melissa's heart. She so happy to be out here that she didn't want to ruin the moment. Melissa could be sure that at least sacrifice her own tastebuds for her. She was about to take a bit of it, then suddenly something from sky just fell at the ground, Melissa quickly held on to Martha and dodge the attack. And the food was destroyed,

Melissa relive thought 'nice! Now I won't have to eat it!'
Martha worry about her said "m-my lady! Are you okay?!"
Melissa thought 'I'll have to keep that thought a secret from her though'

Then she saw Jack forton, one of Yuri's male leads, and is also the one who attack Qing and nine at the spring ball, she know this because when nine and Qing is with her, Qing wants her to be careful of Jack since he was the one who laid a hand on nine. She didn't expect to see him this soon, but she needs to stand her ground since there were still people here.

Melissa looked at him while sliding her hair "I don't ever recall inviting you here."
Jack mocked at Melissa "you said similar thing like that human I met, but so what? You're just a pushover who brings random uninvited guys home, right?"
Melissa clench her hand thought 'this sucker has the filthiest mouth of them all with no manners at all.'
Melissa said independent "stop wasting your time barking at my door, and go do it outside, Jack forton. How dare you trespass into our property? Did you happen to get infected with the rabies?"
Jack shock hearing that "oh, what the hell. You know me already? Then you should know that saying something moronic like that was the wrong move. Do you really think a mere human like you can actually stop me?"

Jack most defining characteristics is his hatred and discrimination toward humans. In the novel, Jack has always upheld his title as the 2nd most powerful werewolf. His strength is incomparable to that of humans. But Jack just want her to comply with himself rather then hurting all the servant, Melissa was about to say something then suddenly a white blast shot to the ground.
