I backed away slowly. Out of all the things I have experienced in my jail cell or out, this was the most frightening thing I have ever seen.
I started to run. Byron grabbed me. "She might be friendly."
Byron walked closer as I backed away. The woman, or should I say girl, that came out of the bushes looked about age 17. She had long brown hair, which was now tangled up and dirty. She had the bluest eyes I had ever seen in my life. No doubt about it, she would be extremely pretty if she wasn't naked and dirty.
"Do you need help?" Byron asked. Some of The young girl's body and face looked like it must have been scarred. I wondered what happened to her.
"Uh...," she whimpered. "I guess." Than, her tone got much more fierce.
"Who are you!" She screamed at the top of her lungs. When I covered my ears, the girl rolled her eyes.
"Woah," said Byron. "No need to scream. My name is Byron and I am a towns person in the nearby kingdom. I was escaping this girl over here." He pointed to me and I looked down.
"You see, everyone in the Kingdom thinks that Destiny, her name is Destiny, murdered, robbed, and committed adultery. But Destiny and I are the only ones in the kingdom who knows that she did not do these terrible things," Byron spoke in a sweet but tough voice. I had absolutely no reason not to love him.
"Ok," she said wearily. "My name is Beatrice, and I am a towns person as well."
"Can you tell us why you're out here," I said. "You know, naked and all."
"Well," she spoked nervously. "You see, when I was 11, I had two loving parents. But when I turned 12, my mother died. After that, my dad became mean to me. And over the many months, he began to abuse me. He whipped me, cursed at me, and once tried to kill me. I was dying. So, when I was 16, I ran away. I've been out here since. I'm now 17."
Byron patted her bare shoulder in sympathy. "It's gonna be alright."
"We should get you some clothes," I said. I felt like I was the only one who noticed her naked. I suspected Byron was enjoying it.
"Yeah," Byron said. "I have a blanket in my bag."
Byron ran over to where we camped. Beatrice and I stood there in silence, listening to the birds chirp. I looked around. No good meat except for dumb, scrawny birds.
"Wait a minute," I shouted. "Why are you naked?"
"I was attacked by a bear. He ripped off all my clothes," She said and I nodded.
Byron ran over with a large, cozy blanket. "Hey!" I said. "Why didn't we use that blanket when we were sleeping?" He shrugged and I crossed my arms.
Beatrice came out of the bushes. "We better get a move on," Byron said.
"I thought we were gonna go hunting," I said.
"Maybe some other time."
