When I opened my eyes, the sun was shining. I slowly got up hoping not to wake the others. It was annoying that I couldn't tell time anymore. I had no clock, nothing.
I felt someone pat me on the shoulder. I turned around and saw a man who looked like he was in his 50s. "Uh, hello," I said. "What do you want?"
"I am here for Beatrice," he said. I got excited. If Beatrice left it would just be me and Byron. Alone together.
I nodded and I shook Beatrice awake. "What?" She asked.
"Someone's here to see you," I said. Beatrice got up. She was still naked. She quickly grabbed the blanket and wrapped it around herself.
Beatrice walked closer to the guy and observed him. "Dad?" She asked. Oh no, I thought. If this is her dad she will never want to go back. I guess that's out of the picture.
"What are you doing here?" Beatrice asked.
"I'm here to bring you back home," said Beatrice's father.
"You abused me, Dad. Don't think I can forgive that. I was freaking miserable."
"I'm sorry, baby," her dad said in a loving voice. "Please forgive me."
"Sorry doesn't cut it," Beatrice cried as she put one of my outfits on without even asking. I was surprised that Byron wasn't up yet.
Beatrice started to run. She was fast, but her dad was faster. "Come back here!" He screamed. "I Love you."
Beatrice turned back and said, "No, you don't. If you really loved me, you wouldn't of abused and beaten me. Fathers or at least good fathers don't abuse their daughters."
"Beatrice," her father spoke angrily. "I am gonna take you back no matter what."
"No!" Beatrice shrieked. Beatrice began to run again. Her father grabbed her and yanked her back. He gave her a slap. Her dad tensed up and slapped her again.
"You are coming with..." A loud noise echoed around the woods. The next thing I knew, Beatrice's father was laying face down on the ground with a bullet in his back, blooding oozing from the spot.
Beatrice and I looked around and saw Byron standing there with a gun. Beatrice ran over and gave him a hug. "Thank you so much."
I decided to check his pulse. "Guys," I spoke afraid that Beatrice would get angry. "He's still alive."
"Byron?" Asked Beatrice. "Can you kill him?"
Byron pointed the gun at her father's head. He tried shooting but it wouldn't work. "Sorry, Beatrice, but I ran out of ammo."
A year trickled down Beatrice's pale face.
"We better go before he wakes up," I said. Byron and Beatrice nodded and we all took o stuff and began moving. Far away from Beatrice's father.
