"Dot?" Clary frowned. "Dot!" She yelled as she darted off into the alleyway, the Shadowhunters, Simon and Olivia racing after her with panicked expressions.

"Clare!" Olivia yelled after her, fastening her pace to keep with her sister. "Clare, stop. Where are you going?"

"Two men," the redhead panted. "The Circle members, the same ones who came to my house, who took my mom, they have Dot. They're going to hurt her or kill her. We have to stop them!"

She glanced at Jace before running into the club, the other five behind her.

"No," Clary whispered, coming to a stop in the middle of the club. "She was just trying to help me." Her hand went up to her necklace and she stiffled in a cry. "Now she's gone."

Olivia gulped and muffled her mouth with her shaking hand.

Don't cry. She told herself. Don't cry. You need to be strong for Clare

"I'm sorry Clary." Simon placed a sympathetic hand on her shoulder before glancing up at Olivia with a frown. "I'm sorry Livie."

"You don't understand, Dot's like my big sister."

Olivia almost scoffed. Not because Clary had completely forgotten that Olivia cared about Dot too, but because Clary and Dot were not close. Sure, they were friends and they loved each other, but they barely spent any time together. Olivia, on the other hand, was much more closer to the warlock and actually did consider her her older sister.

Now is not the time. She told herself again.

"It's not safe here," Alec wrapped his arm around Olivia, looking around with caution. "We have to go back to the Institute right now." He eyes Jace, begging him to get back to the Institute. Jace nodded, agreeing with his mate. He could sense the worry radiating off the older Lightwood and he wrapped his own arm protectively around their mate, touching Alec's thumb lightly, making his body relax.

"I agree, it's not safe for you." He said softly, looking down at Olivia.

"So what now?" Clary snapped. "Valentine has my mom and Dot, and we're just going to give up? What about my memories? They can't just be gone."

"She's right." Olivia piped in. "Valentine still has our mom and we need our memories. Not just to find our mother but also to get the Cup."  She turned towards Jace. "You were the one that said that the Cup was very important. We can't let Valentine get to it first."

Jace hesitated for a second, but the pleading glint in his mate's eyes was enough for him to sigh, "There is another option."

"Don't even-."

"Absolutely not-."

Alec and Isabelle protested.

"i'm not afraid of the Silent Brothers." The blonde shrugged.

"Who are the Silent Brothers?" Olivia tilted her head making both her mates' hearts flutter.

"They're Shadowhunters with superior powers." Jace smiled at her softly.

"Who possess the ability to recover memories." Isabelle said.

"A process that can also kill you, so there's that." Alec stated.

"Your bedside manner is abysmal," Simon commented making Olivia smile.

"We've broken at least 18 Clave rules, babe." Alec leaned in towards Jace. "And now you want to go to the City of Bones? There's no way. I won't allow it."

"This isn't our choice to make, Al. It's Liv and Clary's decision."

"You can't ask them to do this." Isabelle scowled. "They don't know what they're facing. They're not prepared."

"If anyone can tell us another way to recover our memories and still get the answers we need, we're listening." Olivia crossed her arms as the two Frays looked around.

"That settles it."

"See," Jace smirked. He looked at Alec to see him staring back at him with a blank expression, although Jace was sure he saw a proud glint in his eyes. "I told you she's one of us." He pecked the brunette Shadowhunter on his lips making a pink tint cover his cheeks.
