When going to the hospital, Jungkook had expected that Autumn would at least have an episode from being surrounded by so many people but he was surprised when the opposite happened. Yes, she had stuck to him like glue and barely said a word but he could tell how fascinated she was with her environment from the way she turned at every sound she heard and smiled a little if she felt or heard something fascinating.
Dr. Nkwenti had checked up on Autumn in private but had called him into her office later on when the test results were out. All the bruises and marks were healing as they were supposed to, although some of them were going scar, and her ribs were coming along nicely as well. As for the memory loss, Dr. Nkwenti had told him that it was just a temporary thing and that Autumn would get her memory back once she was ready. She just had to let go of her fear and try to remember but for now, the only thing they could do was recommend a good therapist for her.
The doctor had said the same thing about her eyesight. Because she had stayed in the dark for so long her eyes had gotten used to its new environment but if Autumn continued to live as she is now her eyes would revert back to their old ways and she would be able to see once more, it was only a matter of time. Once they were done and Dr. Nkwenti had set up another appointment for Autumn to come in, Jungkook bid the doctor farewell and escorted Autumn back to the car.
They were now driving back home, Celine sat in the passenger seat with the driver while Jungkook remained in the back with Autumn her head resting on his shoulder as she slept.
"Have you heard anything from Miran?" Celine questioned from the passenger seat and Jungkook looked down at Autumn making sure that she was still asleep before he responded.
"No, I haven't." Jungkook said quietly taking his time so as not to rouse her from her sleep.
"Do you think something happened, he's been gone too long?" Celine said a bit of worry seeping into her tone and Jungkook opened his mouth to answer but the words never left his lips. Out of nowhere a car collided with theirs sending them spiraling out of the road before coming to a sharp halt making Jungkook rattle in his seat and his head smack against the window.
"Fuck!" He cursed at the impact holding onto his head and the whole commotion forced Autumn out of her slumber as she startled awake.
"Jungkook." She called out for him nervously and Jungkook reached out a hand placing it against her cheek.
"It's alright Autumn." He assured and then faced the front of the car, Celine and the driver were still alive. "What the fuck was that?" Jungkook demanded and then shots were being fired at them. Autumn screamed as Jungkook forced her head down underneath the seat as bullets bounced off the window of their car.
"Stay in the car, do you hear me? Do not fucking move." Jungkook warned and then stepped out of the car with Celine and the driver the three of them returning the shots that were being fired at them. About six men piled out of the car that had rammed into theirs and was now firing shots at them and Jungkook was pissed. What gave these idiots the impression that they could come at him? He was going to show them that they had made a very big mistake attacking him, especially on today of all days.
They were outnumbered but with Celine at his side, they were slowly able to bring down the number of men until there were only two left. Autumn remained in the car listening to the continuous sound of gunshot echo from the outside and her heartbeat frantically in her chest.
What was going on? Were those people here for her? Was Jungkook okay?
On and on the questions piled up in her head but she didn't get an answer. Suddenly the car door was jerked open and Autumn shrieked moving back blindly until she was backed up against the door. The unknown person made a noise at the back of his throat and then dragged her out of the car, Autumn screamed scratching and trying to get away but the person just held on tighter.
