When Jungkook ran upstairs to his room Autumn wasn't there, the bed was empty and already made so was the bathroom, Autumn was nowhere in sight. Washing off the blood on his hands and face Jungkook went back downstairs to meet his uncle and silently he prayed that Autumn remained wherever she was until Ezekiel left.
"This is your second visit uncle, keep it up and I might start to think that you're starting to care about me." Jungkook said as he walked casually over to his uncle and took a seat on the opposite couch.
"You're the one that decided to get involved in business and also stole my partner, unfortunately, you're going to have to deal with me coming around a lot more often." Ezekiel said that ever neutral and unbothered look on his face.
"What can I say, the drug trade business suddenly looked really appealing. If this is the price I have to pay then I guess I'll just have to deal with it." Jungkook said with a shrug to which his uncle gave a small smile.
"Alright, let's talk about why I'm really here." Ezekiel said sitting up straight in his seat and Jungkook gave him the go-ahead to continue. "As you already know the demand for Sleet is moving up tremendously and we're making more profit than expected."
"Of course, Yu-Jin already has her people working on the next batch of supply to be distributed across the city." Jungkook stated already having had this conversation with Yu-Jin.
"Exactly and it's because of this I thought I should bring this suggestion up to you since you're one of the leading partners in the trade."
"And what suggestion would that be?" Jungkook asked.
"I don't think we should make the distribution of Sleet limited to Chicago alone, with the right resources we can make it go international." Ezekiel said and there was a glint in his eyes, greed, which made Jungkook realize that this was something his uncle really wanted.
"You want us to distribute globally?" Jungkook asked just to make sure he was understanding what Ezekiel was saying and when his uncle nodded Jungkook couldn't help but laugh. "You of all people should know that that's impossible. You and I might be at the top of the food chain here in Chicago but the same cannot be said for other cities and countries. Everyone has their own Don's and leaders, there's no way we can push Sleet forward without cutting off their own business."
"Not if we have the Conclave behind us. Think about it, the men that sit at that table are the most influential and dangerous men in the entire world and we, we have the best product that's currently trending in the market. All we have to do is convince them to join us, they'll be investors, and us three, you, me, and Yu-Jin will be at the top of the food chain making the distribution."
It was clear that Ezekiel had clearly thought out the entire plan and even if Jungkook was interested in taking this business to higher heights there were still a few things that he wasn't comfortable with.
"Imagine you were one of the Dons at the table, why would you want to be an ordinary investor when you could be at the top of the food chain as well? Nikolai made the Conclave so that there's equal power amongst us all, of course, that's physically impossible but there's a balance and that balance has kept the peace all these years. Your idea sounds like a coup that'll just bring war to each of our doorsteps."
"Which is why in order to avoid that war we need the Russian mobster on our side."
"And you think Nikolai will agree to this?" Jungkook asked.
"Let's be honest here, Nikolai talks about equality and all that but we all know he wants more power and reign over all of us." Ezekiel said and even though Jungkook agreed with him he didn't say it out loud.
