Aurora

"Please," I screamed hoping that he would stop. He, my father, I did not recognize him. He wasn't the man who he used to be when I was younger. We never had the best relationship, but it got worse as I got older. Because the older I got the more I looked like my mother.

"This is all your fault, if you weren't born your mother would still be alive!" My father yelled. He was throwing everything he could see towards me.

"I'm sorry, but it isn't my fault that she's dead!" I shout back but my voice sounds doubtful. I'm almost starting to believe that it's my fault.

"Oh god, please, look at you. You're the problem," He screamed while laughing at me because of how scared I was of him. I'd never seen him this angry, and I had never been this scared before.

I try to run up the stairs but before I can reach the top he grabs my ankle and I scream out in pain. "Please father stop it, I'm sorry," I begged

"What are you so afraid of?" My father says grinning. "Just admit that it's your fault that she's dead and you can get out of here,"

He grabs my hair and pulls me into the kitchen. He takes a knife from the drawer and holds it to my throat.

"I said admit it Aurora, speak up," I wanted to say something but I couldn't come up with it, too scared that he would actually kill me. He began carving the knife into my skin and the knife hit a vein. Blood came slowly flowing from my throat.

My lips started to tremble out of fear. My father was not going to kill his own daughter right? He wouldn't dare. No, I couldn't be true.

I looked down when he spoke up again, "Stupid child, can't even answer me" He hissed. The knife was pushed harder against my neck and my eyes watered and my breathing became slower.

"Stop please, you're going to kill me!" I panicked and suddenly everything was black.

"Aurora, you need to wake up!" Somebody yelled while shaking my body. "Wake up, it was just a nightmare," The voice says, I didn't know to whom the voice belonged. My eyes felt heavy and my head was pounding like crazy. I suddenly remembered what happened and I jolted up in fear.

"Hey hey, you're okay, it's okay," I heard as I looked next to me to see Mattheo. I had no idea what he was doing here and why Daphne and Pansy were gone.

My heart thudded in my chest and my hands began to shake. It felt like the air left my lungs. " I can't...can't breathe,"

I started crying while panting for some air. Mattheo grabbed me by my waist and let me sit on his lap. "Aurora, can you try to count my fingers for me, darling?" He questioned me, holding his hand a little closer to our faces. I tried to count how many fingers he was holding up but I couldn't form any words.

"Look around you darling, tell me five things you can see," Mattheo says. My lips were trembling but nonetheless, I still tried it. "I..see b-books," I spoke, taking a pause. " A pl-plant, the..wall, a-a poster, and m-my desk."

"You're doing great, do you think you can name four things that you can feel?" Mattheo inquired.

"Your hands," I say as I realized that we were holding hands, I didn't notice when it had happened but I don't want to let go of him. "I-I can feel your sweater, uhm..my pillow a-and my bed,"

I was still breathing fast but it wasn't as bad as it was before, this made it easier to talk.

"Now three things you can hear, Aurora," Mattheo stated. "T-the people in-in the..common room." I say slowly, "Birds chirping, and-nd you,"

"You're almost there darling, can you tell me two things you smell?" He asked me.

"I can smell your shampoo and.. your perfume," I said as I laughed.

"The last one is something you can taste," Mattheo says. "I don't taste anything, Mattheo," I giggle.

Mattheo went to the great hall for breakfast and I was going to shower. I felt sweaty after this panic attack thingy. My shower didn't take very long because otherwise, I would be too late for my first class. I sprayed some perfume and walked out of my dorm. I went to my first class which was Defense Against the Dark Arts with Professor Lupin.

"Why weren't you at breakfast Rory?" Daphne asked while walking in with pansy and sitting down next to me.

"Oh yeah, I overslept, sorry" I answered, coming up with some random excuse because I didn't want them to know I had another nightmare.

The class was over quickly. We only needed to listen and make a few notes so it wasn't that hard. Pansy, Daphne, and I walked out and headed to the great hall for lunch.

I felt very clingy today, I don't know why but for some reason I'm always clingy after I have a nightmare. I looked for my brother and when I found him sitting with the boys I ran towards them and I pulled Pansy and Daphne with me.

"Hi there bug," Theodore says, calling me the nickname from when we were young. Blaise smiled at us and took Pansy's hand and let her sit on his lap. Theodore also greeted Daphne and Draco just smiled at us.

We began eating and I grabbed Theo his hand under the table. I missed him now that most of his attention went back to Daphne.

Mattheo came in and sat down next to Draco. I saw him and I immediately thought of the nightmare I had and how he comforted me. I held Theo's hand tighter and that made him look at me, he knew something was wrong.

We had the next lesson and this one was with the boys too. I walked out of the great hall before Theodore could ask me what was going on. I sat down at a desk and a bit later the rest walked in too. Pansy sat next to Blaise, Theodore sat next to Daphne, Mattheo next to Luna, and only Draco was left.

"Can I sit here?" He asked, sitting down as soon as I nodded. We both paid attention to the potions lesson.

"So what's up with you today, Aurora?" he asked politely. I guessed he talked to Theo.

"Hm, what?" I muttered pretending that I didn't have a clue of what he was talking about.

"Theodore told me that he thought that something was wrong and when you walked away so quickly he was sure about it," He replied. I didn't answer him and tried to focus.

"It's okay Aurora, talk to me, tell me what happened, or tell me what's wrong." He added.

"I just missed him I guess," I said briefly. The lesson ended and Professor Snape dismissed us. I walked straight to my dorm and lay on my bed. I fell asleep shortly after.

—-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Rory wake the fuck up!" Pansy screams, waking me up. "Shhh be quiet" I groan before she throws a pillow on me.

"We need to go to dinner Rory, you need to eat," Daphne informed me. We walked to dinner and we spotted the boys. Daphne walked first and Pansy and I followed her. We took a seat next to them and chatted for a bit. We all began eating but I wasn't that hungry so I didn't eat much.

After dinner, we walked back to the common room. We sat on the couch and talked for a while. Apparently, I fell asleep on the couch considering that I slightly woke up while being carried to my dorm. It was Draco who was carrying me. He lays me down on my bed and he tries to walk away but I hold firmly onto his sleeve.

"Aurora, come on you need to sleep," Draco says to me. I shook my head holding onto his sleeve tightly.

"Don't leave me alone" I mumbled drowsily. He lays down next to me and he starts to play with my hair.

"You're exhausted, go to sleep, love." He chuckled. "I'm with you, you're safe." He added.
