twelve years laterAurora and Draco had spent the last twelve years together and they planned to stay together the rest of their lives.
After they had graduated they bought a house. A house where they could live together. A house to spend the rest of their lives in; in which their children were supposed to grow up in.
Children— Aurora's biggest dream. She had always wanted children. At some point Aurora saw no future for her anymore, meaning she would not be able to make her biggest dream come true. But when she thought about not making her dream come true, she thought that it would be the same as failing in life. This thought alone made her fight for it. If she wanted this, she needed to do something about it.
At one summer afternoon many years later, when Draco came back from his work, Aurora told him she was pregnant. Of course, they had talked about this before and Draco could not be any happier to have children— to make Aurora's biggest dream come to.
So now here they were, 2 toddlers running around in the garden. With all the goddamn money Draco had he bought a manor with a big garden because he knew how much Aurora loves to be outside, surrounded by flowers.
One of the toddlers was already 5 and the other was only 2. The girl who was 5 years old was named violet— after her mother's favorite flowers. And the boy of 2 years was named Scorpius since he was born on October 26, and because Draco loved astrology.
The children were not the only thing though. Draco had asked Aurora to marry him after 4 years of dating. He knew from the first moment they got together that she was the one. She was the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with, and the one he wanted to wake up to every morning. Obviously, Aurora said yes, how could she deny such a lovely young man.
Aurora and Draco had once a week a date night and then Theodore and Daphne would babysit their children. The old friend group hadn't fallen apart. It was still and always would be, Pansy, Blaise, Daphne, Theodore, Draco, and Aurora.
It felt like nothing had changed but at the same time, everything had changed. It was weird but not in the wrong way. It's normal that things change and even though it doesn't feel right immediately, it will come. You just need to be patient. Patient with yourselves and also patient with each other.
You just need to have a little hope and everything will turn out alright.
Draco and Aurora would be together till the end but before that, they had two beautiful children to take care of.
In the darkness, he would be there to be her moon— for eternity.
