dearest/ˈdɪərɪst/
most loved or cherished.
Aurora was so flabbergasted that it made her speechless. She didn't know what to say or what to do. It was such a beautiful piece he had written. Her mouth was slightly agape and her eyes were wide and they were focused on Draco. "So what do you think, love? Do you want to be my girlfriend?" Draco asked.
This made Aurora jump up, "Is the Draco Malfoy asking me, Aurora Nott, to be his girlfriend?" She said, her voice full of satire as she giggled and Draco rolled his eyes. Aurora moved over so she could hug him. She buried her face into Draco's shirt as she spoke, "Yes, of course, I want to be your girlfriend, Dray,"
Draco released a breath that he didn't even realize he was holding. He was still holding Aurora when he felt something wet his shirt. He looked down at her to see that she was crying, "Hey hey, why are you crying, love?"
Aurora looked up at him and Draco started once again stroking his hands over her head. "I don't know. I'm just very glad that you asked this and I cannot thank you enough for your help with everything. You make me happy, Dray," Aurora chokes up. She feels genuinely happy for the first time in a very long time. Draco was like a key to her happiness.
Draco made her realize that no matter what she would do, her life would always revolve around him. Just when she thought that darkness was all around, he showed her his light and picked her off the ground. In his arms, love and care are what she found. With him, peace and ease would surround.
"You make me happy too, Aurora," Draco smiled. He felt like he had found his other half. Like if he was the potter, then she would be his clay. She is the night, and he is her day. She's the angel he needs for his redemption, and the gift he will never want to lose. Her presence is enough to ease his pain, and luckily it was the other way around too, his presence was also enough to ease her pain.
Aurora realized how sweet it was what Draco did. He could've just told her he liked her, he didn't have to write this. Aurora knew Draco hated to write letters. Only his mom had received a few letters from him so Aurora could now almost guess how much she meant to Draco. A letter from him, a love letter.
Aurora liked Draco his soft side. Not that she didn't like his other sides but she preferred his soft side. That side of him brought out a lot of emotions in her. Pleasure, desire, want, happiness, but most importantly he brought out hope. She did need a bit of hope and Draco was ready to be her last bit of hope.
Draco was ready to give everything he had in him just so he could make Aurora happy again. He didn't want to see his girl like this. He didn't want to see her in any pain at all. Aurora had such a pure soul and Draco wanted to keep the demons out of her head so she could stay like that.
Aurora had been going through a lot but Draco was now there to make it all better. He knew how bad the voices and the nightmares could be from his own experience and he was now learning how to help Aurora when it got bad.
He did know the most important stuff on how to help, but since it's different for every person he still needed to learn how he could help her the best. Some people would prefer no physical affection but Draco had noticed that this did help Aurora. She liked the backrubs or the way he would hold her hand with one of his hands whilst softly caressing her cheek with his other hand.
Aurora liked it when Draco talked to her to calm her down, but she also didn't mind it when he was silent. His presence was enough for her and she was more than pleased with him.
Aurora and Draco were currently in the boys' dorm with all of their friends. Aurora was talking with Pansy and Daphne in the corner of the room. Daphne had apologized the moment Aurora walked into the dorm. Aurora accepted the apology because she didn't want to be in a fight with one of her best friends anymore.
"So you two are finally in a relationship now?" the smug smile on Pansy's face showed how long she waited for this. You didn't need to be a love expert to see that something was going on with Aurora and Draco. Even before they were dating you could have seen how madly in love they were. The only people who couldn't see it were themselves. But now they've seen it they do not ever want to let go of each other.
"Yeah, hm, we are." Aurora smiled, looking to the other side of the room to see Draco already looking at her. Aurora her smile grew wider when she saw him and Draco could feel his heart beating faster. He smiled and then broke the eye contact so he could continue talking with his friends.
"Wow, you can really tell that they're a couple of lovebirds," Daphne giggles as Aurora turns her head back to where her friends were sitting. "Oh, shut up!" Aurora says, laughing. "It's not like you two don't do the same,"
"Shush," Pansy shoves a pillow in Aurora's face. When Aurora gets a hold of the pillow she lifts it to hit Pansy's back, and after Pansy she softly hits Daphne. The three girls cannot contain their laughter any longer and they burst out laughing.
They have all missed this. We are not only talking about the girls, no. We're also talking about the boys. They always act so though and all that kind of shit but in reality, they are just big softies.
Pansy, Daphne, and Aurora are happy to have each other back again. They all move to sit closer to the boys after they were done with their little girl talk. Aurora sits down next to Draco and he wraps his arm around her shoulder. "Hello, love,"
"Hi, Dray," She says. "Are you still having fun?" He asks her and she nods. If she wanted to leave she only needed to tell him and he would make up an excuse so they could leave. He wouldn't be mad at her because Aurora was now his first priority and he would do anything for her.
