She dug into the bottom of her handbag and short of turning it upside down she had to accept that her purse wasn't in it.
She dropped her head in shame and embarrassment for just a moment before looking up at the woman behind the counter and apologising for wasting her time. She went to walk away without that coffee she wished for when a voice behind her spoke up.
"I'll pay for hers as well."
She turned quickly and smiled widely at the middle aged gentleman and made a promise to buy his coffee tomorrow. He waved away her offer with a smile and a tease at her need for caffeine.
Walking oit of the small coffee shop on the bottom floor of the office building she realised the napkin she was holding had a strange feel to it. Closer inspection showed the usual piece of blue paper that she'd missed so very much over the last seven months as she finished school and started her new job.

In so many ways I'm grateful to the heavens for what I have but I find myself wishing for that moment when the world slips away and you are mine.
