Lucas POV

Silently I walked back to the hotel. The image of what she looked like when Arvilla had kissed me was still fresh in my mind. Her voice echoed in my head, like a song that you can't get out of your head.

I walked in a daze to the hotel, numb from everything. Paparazzi surrounded me, but I did nothing. They snapped pictures and asked questions, but I still did nothing. Once I reached my room I sat down, unable to do anything else.

"Lucas!" Carson said. I didn't move. "Lucas?" Nothing. "What happened? Is everything alright? Did Emi get hurt?"

I had to do something, otherwise he would just be bugging me. "I lost her."

"She died?!"

"No. Arvilla kissed me and Emi saw."

"Oh. What are you going to do?"

"Nothing. Tried. Wouldn't listen." I couldn't form whole sentences. It was to painful to remember.

"You've gotta do something Lucas."

"Can't."

"Fine. Then you're going to apologize to her tonight." Carson told me.

"She's leaving."

"Are you kidding me?!" He shouted. "You finally find a girl that you like and you can't do anything to stop her from leaving! What's wrong with you?!"

He stormed out of the hotel room, leaving me to sit there with my guilty conscience. I don't know how long I sat there. Seconds, minutes, hours; but next thing I knew my mom was trying to get me ready for the show.

An hour or so later I was at the auditorium getting my microphone set up. People came up to me to shake my hand and say hello. I followed their movements, but I didn't speak. Some seemed to be aggravated with me, while others didn't mind.

I was thankful for the numb feeling. It dulled the pain and allowed me to work in a routine. All I want is for Emi to believe me, but that's not going to happen.

"Lucas, are you ready?" Selke asked me. I nodded my head, unable to do anything else. Selke sighed, which got my attention. "Want to tell me what happened?"

"She's gone."

"You'll see her again Lucas."

"No. I screwed up. She won't listen."

"You'll find a way Lucas. You always find a way." For the first time this night, I met someone's gaze. I gave him a grateful nod and walked out on stage.

Girls screamed as loud as they could when they saw me. They tried to get up onto the stage, but luckily police kept them back. I tried to smile, and it felt so foreign, that I wondered if I was doing it right. I closed my eyes, took a deep breath, and began.

Emilia POV

"Em? Are you almost ready to leave?" Aiden called from outside my door. Instead of replying, I just grabbed my suitcase and headed out. He had barely moved out the way when I walked right past him. The strange part, was that he didn't even ask me if something was wrong. He always has, even when I was just being silent.

Mom and Dad were waiting in the living room with their suitcases. Mom was trying to pull her hair up again, but the hair band wasn't working. I could feel Dad's eyes on me. Probably surprised because I usually give Mom another hair band, but this time I hadn't.

"Alright guys. Move out!" Dad said. I grabbed my bag and walked out of the door, ahead of everyone.

I was numb. I couldn't feel a thing. All I could do was follow directions and routines. None of my family members asked me if anything was wrong. It's not like I could tell them yes or no anyways. I can't decide if I am upset or not.
