I sat up in my bed. I brought my hands to my cheeks. They were still damp from when I was crying. I got up and tried to walk over to the bathroom. I looked in the mirror and saw that my eyes were swollen a bit and my cheeks were red from the amount of crying I did. I turned on the shower and made sure that it didn't have any heat in it. I then jumped in and took a 10 minute shower.
I hopped out of the shower and slipped on a pair of jean shorts and a short sleeved graphic tee that read Don't Be A Hater. I brushed my hair and decided that I would wear it down today. I pulled on my skater shoes and added a bit of eyeliner. I looked in the mirror and saw that my eyes were clear. You wouldn't have been able to tell that I had just been crying.
I walked out of my room and grabbed an apple. I saw my Ipod on the counter and put the end pieces in my ears. I turned it up and listened to Don't Cry Your Heart Out by Cody Simpson.
I walked over to the couch and started reading Strange Angels by Lili St. Crow. I truly love that book. I read about five chapters before I decided that I should get up and go outside. I jumped off the couch and started walking outside.
I just walked out of the hotel when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned around and saw Wesley with Ragnar. I pulled out my headphones before I spoke. "Hey guys." I said.
"Hey Emilia. How've you been?" Ragnar asked.
"Good. Not much can happen in a day." Now that was a big lie. A lot had happened yesterday, more than I've had in a week.
"Well, we were just heading to the skate park. You wanna join us?" Wesley asked.
"Thanks, but no. I just kind of want to walk around you know. I only have a couple more days here anyways."
Wesley looked slightly disappointed, but he covered it up quickly with a smile. "Alright, well see you around." I watched as they got on their boards and skated to the direction of the park.
I started walking around Tampa, making sure to note every little piece so I could find my way back to the hotel. I heard people screaming and I turned around and saw girls running in my direction. I jumped to the side and just barely missed being road kill.
"You jumped just in time." A familiar voice said behind me. I spun around and saw Lucas walking out from behind the bushes.
"Lucas? What are you doing here?" I asked.
"Hiding obviously. They just don't know when to stop, which sucks for me."
"Oh. Well bye!" I replied. I turned back around and started to walk. A hand grabbed my elbow and spun me around.
"You aren't getting away from me that easily." I looked up at him and I tried as hard as I could not to look in his eyes, knowing that the memories would come back. I lost that battle. I felt the slight tickle in my throat, telling me that the tears were coming. I broke the gaze from him. "What is it?"
"What do you mean?" I asked, even though I knew what he was talking about.
"Whenever you look at me, seriously look at me, you always start to cry, or try to."
I clenched my teeth then unclenched them. "That's none of your business."
"I believe it is since it only happens around me." He said, his voice rising a bit.
That's when I lost it. "Stay out of my life Lucas!" I shouted. I heard the click of a camera, but I didn't care. I yanked my arm from his grip and started running from him. I ran for a couple minutes. I turned and ran down an alley, I only went a couple of feet into it. I leaned up against it and put my face in my hands.
