Emilia POV

I woke up in my bed and it took me a minute to realize that I had last been on the roof.

Aiden must have carried me in.

I quickly got up, noticing that I was still in my clothes from yesterday. I pulled my hair up and headed downstairs. My parents didn't acknowledge me one bit, like usual. They have obviously decided that they were going to show how much they didn't like me, instead of keeping it bottled up. I have to admit, it hurt a bit that my own parents would hate me.

"Hello Emilia." Summer said as I walked into the kitchen. I immediately noticed that she was getting things out to make breakfast.

"Morning Summer." I replied. "What do you plan on making?"

"Good old fashioned breakfast."

"In other words bacon, eggs, pancakes, toast, hash browns, the whole shebang?"

"Basically the five things you listed."

"Sounds good. I'll help." I told her.

"You don't need to help me."

"I know, but there's a difference between need and want. So let me rephrase my sentence." I paused for a dramatic effect. "I want to help."

She laughed and I gave her a small smile.

"I can't fight you there Em."

I think I'm going to like her.

So we made breakfast, and she laughed every time one of us messed something up. It was nice to be in her presence. She has this aura about her that makes you feel calm and happy, and I felt somewhat happy around her.

When breakfast was done we took it out and set it on the dining table. Aiden came into the room with a major bed head. Summer smiled at him and he smiled back. They both looked so happy to be with each other. They looked like they could stare into each other's eyes all day and never get bored. A pang of hurt flashed through me, but I quickly put it outside of my walls.

"Morning Em." Aiden said. He came over to me and wrapped his arms around me in a hug. I felt safe for the first time in months.

"Morning Aiden."

We all sat at the dining table and began to eat breakfast, even though my parents weren't there. Soon only a bit of the food was gone, and the most surprising thing, was that I ate the least. I'm usually tied with Aiden when it comes to eating. I'm not a pig or anything, that's just how it is.

"Emilia, we're going to the mall today." Summer announced.

"You and Aiden? That's fine with me." I replied.

"No, by 'we' I mean, you and I."

"No. Sorry, but I don't do malls."

"Em." Aiden began. "You and Summer are going to bond by going to the mall."

"I don't bond." I told him.

"You use to all the time." My eyes narrowed just at the mere mention of Savi.

He wouldn't.

"So why not now?" He asked.

Don't do it Aiden.

"I bet it'll take your mind off of a few things."

Shut up Aiden!

"For me?"
