Neo POV

After what feels like a few seconds I awaken to the sound of a loud girl. Yawning I lean to wake up Ruby.

Neo: "Ruby, time to get up."

Ruby: *sleepily* "Five more minutes."

Neo: "There's cookies."

As expected she flies off her sleeping bag getting dressed for the day. After that I head to the locker room. Opening mine I withdraw my trusty parasol. I smile as memories come flooding back.

This was the greatest gift given by dad. I'll never forget the day he gave it to me. I run my hand along the parasol as the thought of using it makes me smile. I hook it to my waist as Ruby turns to me.

Ruby: "You sure look excited."

Neo: "Yep. Today's the day I get to show everyone all my training."

Ruby: "You make it sound like you're skilled."

Neo: "Kinda helps that I was trained by a powerful man."

Speaker: "All first years report to Beacon Cliff."

Neo: "Looks like that's our cue."

We both walk to where they said for us to go.

Ozpin: "Greetings. Normally this is where I'd blast you all with a boring speech. But I'm not gonna do that this time. Instead I'm just gonna tell the rules. When you hit the forest, the first person you make eye contact with shall be your partner. You both will then head north to get a relic. Bring it back here to get a grade. Simple enough?"

We all nod.

Ozpin: "Good. Now take your positions."

We all get ready as we then start getting flung into the forest.

Neo: "Good luck Ruby."

Ruby: "Same to you. And try to leave some Grimm for me."

Neo: "You'll have to keep up."

I get flung into the air towards the forest. When I get close I use the handle of my parasol to hook a branch. Then swinging around I summersault onto the ground.

Neo: "Now, which way is north?"

I look around when a twig snaps. Turning around I find a small sleuth of Ursai.

Neo: "Aw, you guys all teamed up to take down little old me?"

The Major roars standing up.

Neo: "Really? Then bring it."

The Ursai rush forward. But I flash them a smile resting my parasol on my arm. It shifts into its gun form. The Ursai roar as I pull the trigger. A hail of bullets rain out turning the sleuth to shreds. When they fall the Major runs towards me.

I withdraw my blade as the Major swings its claws. I disappear then reappear behind it slashing its back. It yips turning to claw. I flip over its paw cutting through its left eye. Screaming in pain it tackles me to the ground.

Pinned it brings its jaws close to bite me. I however shatter reforming beside the Major. It roars when I bring down my sword cleaving off its head. Its body falls to the ground as I sheathe my sword.

Neo: "You didn't stand a chance. Back to the mission, finding the relic temple."

I take off full speed north. Eventually I arrive to find the majority of the relics already gone. Nabbing one I run back to the cliffs. But when I get there I see Ruby and others fighting off both a Deathstalker and Nevermore.

Wanting to help out I shatter reforming myself on top of the Nevermore. It squawks flying upwards. The Gs pile on making it harder to breathe. But I steel myself ramming my sword through its skull. It screeches when I press a button releasing lightning dust.

It surges into the Nevermore's head causing it to holler as loud as it can. It then begins falling out of the sky. Acting quick I pull out a ball and punch in a coordination. Locked in I press the button on the top. My body disappears only to reappear to where I was before I teleported onto the Nevermore. From there I watch the Nevermore hit the ground turning to dust.

Ozpin: "Last is Neo Politan."

Neo: "Actually it's L/N."

Ozpin: "Sorry. Neo L/N. You've collected the black queen piece. But due to a miscount you're being offered a choice. Would you like to be on your own team or on an already formed team?"

I think on it.

Neo: "I'd like to be on an already formed team. And if it's alright I'd like it to be team RWBY."

Ozpin: "Then from this day onward you'll be the fifth member of team RWBY."

A/N: I'm gonna try something new. Please don't crucify me if I don't do it right.
