Olivia's pov
As I sat across from Sasha in the coffee shop, my thoughts shifted to the events of the last few months.
It's crazy how things can change, right?
I was in a happy relationship with premier League footballer; Ben Chilwell and let's just say we didn't have a happy ending.
He went off on a 'lads' holiday with a few lads from the team but the holiday ended with me finding out in the paper that he had cheated with some girl over there.
And that's where it ended. It's been a few months and frankly I'm still not over it, I guess..
"Are you okay?" Sasha asked snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Yeah" I smiled.
She looked over her coffee cup at me. "You were thinking of him again, weren't you?"
I nodded. "If I'm honest Sasha, I'm nervous about meeting Jack from training incase I see him. I know it's been a few months but I don't think my feelings really left" I sighed as said the final part.
She leaned over and rubbed my arm. "I know it can feel like it's hard but I'm sure you'll get there. You never know, you might meet another of jack's teammate's and forget all about Ben" she smiled brightly.
"Do I even want to go with a footballer again?" I laugh. "They all just seem to break your heart"
"Not your brother" she reminded.
"Yeah, you got lucky" I smiled. "Anyway let's go meet jack and get some food"
We both got up from the table and headed out to my car.
I unlocked it and we both got in. I switched on the radio and we began the drive to the training ground in a comfortable silence.
We pulled up outside the training ground and I began to feel sick, the nerves getting the better of me.
"Let's go" Sasha took my hand and we walked into the stadium.
As we entered , we met Gareth Southgate who greeted us with a smile. "Hello girls. All the boys are still on the pitch doing training. Your welcome to come outside with me and wait"
"Thanks" sasha smiled and we followed him.
"I'm so nervous" I spoke quietly to Sasha.
Why was I getting in this state at seeing my ex?
"You'll be fine" Sasha reassured me. "I'm here"
As we walked out, I could see them all in their England gear training for the upcoming Euros.
Sasha and I took a seat in the stand as Gareth went to speak to his team.
As I sat there, my heart pounding in my chest; my eyes locked with none other than Ben himself. He looked just as shocked to see me as I did him.
I quickly diverted my eyes from him and looked at the ground instead.
"Okay and that's it for training today" I heard Gareth call out as jack came jogging over.
"You okay sis" he asked as he gave Sasha a kiss on the cheek.
"Yeah" i smiled. "Are we going for dinner?"
"Yeah...about that" he began, running his hand through his hair as Sasha looked at him puzzled.
"We are going to have dinner but a few of the lads want to come round to mine. Chill out for a few hours, talk about the upcoming games. I thought we could order pizza?"
"Okay.. I don't mind. Pizza sounds good. You okay with that Sasha?"
"Yeah" she smiled. "Who's coming?"
"Mason, Tammy and...." I cut him off.
"Sounds good. I love Tammy and mason"
I had got on well with them both when I used to date Ben.
"You didn't let me finish.." jack trailed off. "Ben is also coming"
"Okay" I replied, trying to play it cool.
Here I am about to spend an evening with an ex who I haven't spoken to in a few months.
"Are you okay with that?" Jack asked.
"Yeah" I reassured him as I gave Sasha a small smile.
I'm sure it'll be fine, right?
