chapter 16

Olivia's pov

The day of the game has arrived and the nerves and butterfly's are battling it out inside my stomach.

Butterflies; at seeing Mason again. Nerves; at seeing Ben and everyone else who I haven't seen since we broke up.

I headed downstairs to have a cup of coffee before I got dressed. The game was at midday and it was only 9am.

I was leaving at half 10 to drive into Stamford bridge, so I could enter the stadium and get to the section before all the fans arrived.

I placed a pod into my coffee machine and let it do its thing. I grabbed my mug once the coffee was ready, taking a seat at the island.

I scrolled through Instagram to pass the time whilst I sipped on my coffee.

My phone pinged signalling a text.

I smiled to myself.

Mason did make me do that a lot.

I blushed to myself. He was just so different to ben and I liked the compliments.

Not that Ben didn't do that; he did. He showed me so much love until he cheated but what can you do?

I placed my cup in the sink and headed back upstairs to get dressed.

After an hour, I was dressed. I had chosen grey skinny jeans, my white air force's and a plain jumper. I curled my hair and did the usual make up routine minus my fake eyelashes; they were glam make up only.

I grabbed a coat and my bag and ran downstairs.

Putting my phone in my bag and grabbing my key from the side, I made my way outside to my car; locking the door behind me.

I got in, switched on the engine, did you my seatbelt and shuffled my playlist.

I pulled out of the driveway, making my way to Stamford bridge; the butterflies and nerves still battling each other.
